Crazy. Absolutely brilliant.

Wish I had the money for the big ol' box set.

From the samples it sounds like the drawbar organ stuff is the closest he's come to accessible (and more overtly electronic/less percussion based than before). The quiet hour stuff seems like an extension of his more experimental world music influenced stuff.

Can't wait to get this...but have no money. Will have to settle for the double cd I think.

Not listened yet but, has anyone else who bought the vinyl boxset read the letter to Clara yet? Very interesting. Wonder what the story behind this is/where did it come from.

There's etchings in each side of the vinyl as well that make up a short passage.

The whole package is just amazing.
according to shackleton on surus:
Vengeance Tenfold who has provided great vocals and also the superb letter that proved to be a big inspiration for both the artwork booklet and the music from Music For The Quiet Hour (Part 4 is based on a letter he wrote to his granddaughter who lives in the year 2065).

Gonna wait a while to get it, but tbh I'm not sure I'm really looking forward for this one. Seems less percussion oriented that his older material, which is what I loved about Shackleton.

Drawbar Organ bits sound like Shackleton's relocated to Chernobyl.

Some in stock Boomkat way..

I didn't get these songs at first but I'm on my 3rd or 4th listen now of the previews and they're growing.. I feel like I need to listen to the album in depth.

The Skull Disco stuff gets repressed so I don't see why this wouldn't get repressed.

not sure, none of the skull disco stuff was advertised as limited was it? nor was any of it as extravagant as this box...

I fucking loved reading that, an astounding piece of writing!
The concept of him having contact with his grand-daughter who is in the future,
it's not that much of a strange concept considering all of the 2012 business.
It made me look at the artwork a lot closer, listen to the sounds a lot deeper.
You can see the connections, and after reading that its made the whole
expperience quite mindblowing and special...definitely worth the £28 i paid!

EDIT: for comparison, it felt better than listening to Burial whilst reading his interviews.
