all the other subforums are pretty straightforward, though it scares people (& maybe women in particular) off in a whole different way. as some others have alluded to in various posts on here, as of late it seems women have been seen as lessers in terms of bass music knowledge and members of the scene, pretty sad but also a generalization based in some truth. no one wants to be the chick who comes on here talking about the new popstep remix. 5 minutes looking at the forum and you'll realize it's not the place for anyone but deep heads.

I'm still struggling to see what difference it makes how many females there are on the forum...?

Good to have one or two for a female perspective on a few things...but my thought is that Mr Seckle doesn't get involved with discussions other than music...and then, opinions have nothing to do with gender....

If we were all trying to pick up women, then...yeah. But we're not...are we?

the deep heads know whats up. man or woman. a good friend of mine who is a producer for murs and has been murs's dj for a minute keeps telling me about all the really cool women he meets at each of their shows. im not trying to correlate murs with cool women, im just saying that more conscious stuff like murs's music leads to cooler people in general.

that being said i would much rather meet a girl who knows whats good amongst music, politics, fashion, aesthetics in general rather some trend riding hipster woman who listens to something which is the soup of the day.

my point is that most women i have met who are into the deeper stuff have more substance, even here in phoenix. just from my own experience... however, some might have a different experience.

Never seen this myself. Admittedly I don't stalk this part of the forum toooooo much (though I do check it most days), yet I've never seen anything but respect for the women in the scene; MAH, Cooly G, Ikonika, Vaccine, Ashes57...

absolutely, all those women get great respect and that was never doubted. i was thinking of the "what ruined dubstep" thread in particular where there was ongoing banter about how girls in the scene have changed from heads just like you lot to bandwagon riding chicks who just want to be seen at a big night out. obviously a grave overgeneralization but i've seen/heard it elsewhere too.
