Can no one else see that half these tracks sound the same? It's about as formulaic as brostep (although much more pleasing to the ears)

Not hatin' just really bugging me that no ones mentioned it yet!

As with everything you gotta find that small minority of tunes that are the real deal. It's partly about being unique and putting you're own spin on it, but it's also about doing this sound the thread is about and doing it well.

But yeah, I completely agree, as with everything there's plenty of stuff that's worth a miss because it's boring.

But this thread is still great because it's the home of dubstep how I like it to sound :Q:

this is very true and without a good amount of quality control then i can see this sound going just as stale as the more mid-range stuff has. the ability to create original tunes and create your own sound is one of the most important parts of becoming a successful, long lasting producer!

This is sick! will support for sure. Also a great example of producers switching it up, massively feeling the slightly slower vibes, reminds me of pinch production, something like croydon house. big up collision and sublab

yeah i know what you mean

a dark droning synth for the intro, add a vocal sample from a movie with a ton of reverb before drop, use halftime drum beat throughout, with a dark bassline and you're good to go :)

obviously thats a huge generalisation but its what a lot of them sound like,
i love it though, if this overtook the midrange stuff thats getting rinsed in the clubs right now id be more than happy

u can generalise anything tho...if this thread is about a particular style of music that people are feeling then yes, clearly the tracks posted in this thread will be of a similar nature...
