Hey guys!!

As we always say, thanks so much for stopping by the thread and sharing your thoughts! - We appreciate all feedback, whether good, or bad. :)

We just want to celebrate Dubstep as it should be celebrated. The DMAs are here to stay and we hope to gain your support through the hard work and commitment we provide to the genre and it's supporters. Yes money can be made from such a venture, we realise this and we are aware of the concerns you all have in relation to us creating the awards solely for profit. The sad fact of the matter is, we are unable to show you that this is definitely not the case. We can chat to you all and reassure you but sadly no physical evidence could ever be produced to show you that we're not money hungry, or for that matter, corporate. The awards aren't just for the artists and the producers, they're for the community of Dubstep, including it's supports and contributors.

We realise that a lot of you have concerns towards the DMAs, however, we can assure the DSF Community the following things:

a) The DMAs will be fair and open to everyone within the genre.
b) The DMAs will have the passion, the flare and the enthusiasm that should be expected of such an awards show and genre.
c) The voting shall be fair and trustworthy. We will be doing EVERYTHING we can (including top end software) to stop false and fraudulent votes.
d) There will be categories covering every aspect of the genre.
e) All areas of Dubstep, including it's 'Roots' will be catered for by some of the worlds leading artists within their respect sub-genres at the event.
f) It'll be a celebration of ALL things Dubstep!!

Further information is coming very soon, including the eagerly awaited categories.

Feel free to join up to our fan page on facebook and voice your medi roots, we would love to see more medi/roots artists popping up on the wall!!

Once again, we really do appreciate all your feedback and we thank you for spending the time dropping in the thread and sharing your comments.

Have a great weekend!! :D

Not unless both parties have consented to it being made public, otherwise posting up private conversations is stepping over the line.

Lets have a sweepstake on the categories time!

Brostep (inevitable)
Future Garage / Post Dubstep (or whatever ridiculous name get's used in Pitchfork / or some Producer's bio now)
Roots / Chillstep (remember when this used to be just called Dubstep?! bah.)
Purple (because it's cool)

Hmmm, can't think of more right now. Who's got what?

LoL if matey boy said he was banging Natalie Portman, then yeah I'd wanna know, with pics, otherwise I'm slapping down hyper injunctions, not even allowed to speak about the super injunction.

Why is everyone talking about sub-genres in regards to the categories? Surely it would be Best DJ, Best Track etc or did I miss a post somewhere?

Yeah, one that really got me went something like "all the people talking about older dubstep artists need to shut up, its dubstep awards 2011".

Still, if its a celebration of all things dubstep like the guy organizing said it is then most people should be able to forget about the silly awards and just have a good time listening to good music.

Why did you not think of doing it in assosiation with the DSF awards that have already been established?
That would of been the first port of call if i were doing it. this forum has been about since day.

Because they are blatantly just trying to peddle an event off of the back of an awards ceremony. Sneaky marketing.
