All he's saying is don't fuck your brain up before your brain is fully developed because you could cause lasting and irreversible damage

I'm certain the fact that i've been smoking weed regularly since i was 13 (I'm now 23) has fucked me up and is one of the main reasons behind my depression/anxiety issues
Jim mate, look in to the effectiveness of using psychedelics to combat depression + addictive habits and mindstates. Notably, Psilocybin + Depression. Not for everyone, but i can vouch for mushrooms being extremely useful in the past when i have gotten myself into depressed state. I can relate to the weed thing though. Also started around the same age and i definately noticed the negative effects on my mind/brain by about the age of 17.

But yeah, psychedelics are a great way of performing a complete system clean out and reboot. This isn't just advocating them either, actual research and clinical trials out there based on these things.

Such a difference to what you get out of psychedelics ,when you do them at home with a well thought out continual music/meditative play-list, with the clear intention of cleansing your mind from any negative thoughts that you know are no longer serving you in anyway.

i spent 3 years of my life suffering from anxiety and depression, went through counselling and the lot. cannot stress enough how vital exercise is to my life these days.

That sounds pretty interesting, I've always been interested in how psychodelics might help confidence/anxiety/depression ect. I don't suffer from any of these, only on very minor levels. Shrooms always seem to make peope a lot more 'at one' with themselves.. a bit more understanding in their beliefs and opinions and stuff. Some of the smartest, uneducated, people are often comedians who have dabbled with drugs lol. Too much seems to turn you too hippy like, basically delusional.

I actually read that independent article the other day.

As with anything moderation and being sensible is key.. too much pizza and sugar will cause your heart to pop.

When I'm drumming or sparring it's pretty much the only time my brain shuts up and I can just focus on what I'm doing

http://www.maps.org/conference/3-day-conference/ - for the United states heads - this is in april. Worth checking the topics to get an idea about what the current state of research and exploration is like.
At Psychedelic Science 2013, over 100 of the world's leading researchers from 13 countries will present recent findings on the benefits and risks of LSD, psilocybin, MDMA, ayahuasca, ibogaine, 2C-B, ketamine, marijuana, and more, over three days of conference presentations, and two days of pre- and post-conference workshops.
http://breakingconvention.co.uk/ - and for the u.k heads. July
Breaking Convention is a biennial conference on psychedelic consciousness, the only one of its kind operating in Britain, convened by a non-profit organization of the same name. Breaking Convention 2013 will be held at the University of Greenwich on July 12-14 and will feature ten symposia of invited speakers and a track dedicated to talks from submitted abstracts, as well as galleries, exhibitions, films and evening entertainments.

and this...

Only recently I've started smoking much, much less, I mean I now only smoke weed twice a week (compared to virtually every single day up to about 3 weeks ago), and when I do, I roll joints in small rizla and even then only fill them about 3/4 of the way. All pure aswell, I've pretty much completely cut tobacco out of my life other than at raves. I also started excercising 4-5 times a week in december, and that combined with the massive cut down on smoking... I can already feel a difference in my attitude and mood.

where i found out about all the drugs i wanted to buy :W:
This soooooo much
I found one of those books in my house aged 10, and I swear I must've read the damned thing every day for a year at least.
It's not that it directly enticed me to do it, but by the time I felt like doing it, I was so familiar with it.

joeki wrote:maybe a relevant question. How old were all of you when you started taking hard drugs?
May have said before, but I started between 13 and 14. Just weed though.
I wanted to do MDMA back at 16, didn't get any...
18 now, Don't smoke weed (stopped between 15 and 16), occasional Hallucinogens.

Do have a friend who allegedly grew shrooms when we were 16, didn't hang out with him then though.

Sonika, chill the fuck out man. You really don't know what's coming your way.

There's a reason people like Skream & Benga grew up around that shit. So kids like you wouldn't have to...

You should find more shit that makes you feel that way. That's what keeps you at your personal best.

yeah I do go to prep school, not really sure how that's relevant? plenty of kids do drugs here
abelard wrote:The real question for sonika is whether he's worried that in 6 months he's completely changed his personality to match his misinterpretation of a very small subculture niche in south london, yet is also convinced he knows more about everything than the adults he's immitating.

lol dude are you obsessed with me, literally the only time I've ever seen you post is you going at me

Please show me a post when I said I know more than the posters here

You're probably right about my personality changing a little bit - I've been very involved in the scene because I like the culture and the music - obviously I will have changed because of that presence in my life

fuck off.

This whole post.

What bothers me isn't the fact that you do drugs, it's your bloody arrogance. You seem to have no recognition of the kind of life you're actually taking on atm.
