So far I've predicted that Switzerland would do better than expected, that France would win it and then that Portugal would win it

Russia have been the most adventurous and impressive footballing side the last 2 games, if they maintain this form I hope they win it.

i watched spain beat italy in a tiny smoky cafe in barcelona last night. it was awesome - the spaniards are so passionate about their country. as soon as they won, the fireworks went nuts and everyone was out on the street. i haven't been following euro 2008 too closely, but last night was awesome.
i'm takin this show on the road.

meh,

Think Spain could do with some glory. They remind me of England, good league, good national side, havn't won a championship for many moons.

excellent saves from Casillas last night.

I'm just hoping the semi's are better than the quarter finals..granted there were moments of high drama in all games, however the only really good game was the Russia v Netherlands game.

On that basis, and for the football they have played in the last few games, I am behind Russia for the tournament.

Turkey v Germany might be an odd game as the Turks have a load of injuries and suspensions, and were extremely lukcy to get through against the Croats who lacked the clinical finishing of Eduardo.

So glad that Italy are out. They made that game hard to watch with their '10 men behind the ball' tactics.

yea your right, they have always been like that, allthough they normally wait until they are 1-0 up before they throw everyone behind the ball. id love to see spain win it

On paper the German's should win, however Turkey seem to have ridden their luck and shown a belief that they refuse to accept when they are beaten.

They aare missing their 4 best attacking players though - Tuncay, Emre, Nihat and the left winger (Ardun??) through suspension or injury so I imagine their tactics will be to keep it as tight as possible and hope to sneak it by one, hence I'm not expecting a great game.
