just got back.. had to duck out during kode9's set..
all about Pinch's set tho... fucking hell! stupidly, stupidly deep. most relentless set at dmz since cyrus in november 06.
dmz & loefah was FIRE! pure vibes all the way through... can anyone tell me the first 2 tracks loefah dropped??? ESPECIALLY the 2nd one... sounded like a dubstep remix of pulse X?!?!?
big up deapoh for dropping stonecold...

Think its Joker and Rustie - "Play Doe". Its on the latest blackdown and dusk on rinse.
Was good in there tonight - you're right about pinch - deepest set at DMZ since the last time I saw Pinch there in Jan 07!
Out to Loefah's last tune and Kode dropping half an hour of funky at the start of his set. Massive.

Kode 9... proper dancing... Kode 9... Yellowfin oh my gosh what a tune (thank you Martin for the ID)... Kode 9. Yep, Kode's set was good, and that little dash of Poison Dart at the end was a sweeet touch. As was that Coki tune that took about ten bars to resemble anything like a tune. So good to hear those different swerves. Kulture's last tune! So yes, that was proper. I'm off to bed.

p.s. Hijak is a badman.
I am sure all the stamina crew would explain why.

that benga 'indian something or rather' tune!!!! still going through my head now. hijak coulda just pulled that tune back over and over again for the last hour of the night and i woulda been content. far left speakers (non-bar side) were smackin it but many things were underwhelming tonight. had a good time but was probably the worst dmz i've been to in a long time. sleep soon come. zzzzzzz

ha, was an alright night but have noticed the clientele is getting younger
I feel like an old bastard in the dance
was busy though and so enjoyed the vibes
only caught the tailend of Pinch's set but what I heard was real nice
Didn't really know about Kulture before the night, other than the steppin' out of babylon tune, but the guy was definitely live
even spotted UK Hip Hop don Jehst in DMZ and so had to give some due props. Complimented him on his first EP only as not feeling his new steez
Good to see Boomnoise in the place too and Kid Caz
yeah good night overall, can't complain, had fun and got mashed
bouncers gave me no grief
nice to see a healthy female contingent in the place too, they definitely step harder than the fellas too

I reckon that tune you're referring to by Benga was 'Pleasure'
with the female vocal

was a heavy night, digital mystikz/loefah standardly messy
kulture played some crazy tunes, anyone know the last tune he played? pure fiyah
then just as getting tired, hijak comes on and smacks it with one of the sickest sets ever, completely restored my vitals

rah.
could not disagree more.
yeah would also like an id on loefah's first tune (and his last). the vibes for dmz set were utterly ridiculous.

That'll teach me to leave just before the last set.

Hijak
Wasnt really feeling the funky at the beginning of kode9's set but apart from that pretty much all the sets were the dogs danglies.

technically wasn't bad but it just says a lot about the quality a most of the dmz's i've been to. the mystikz set was definitely the highlight of the night, sick tunes, sick mixes and wicked immersive vibes.

Nope.
It was Chase & Status - Eastern Jam

Big tune...maybe the 3,000 unique hits explains why..

Skeen, seem to remember reading somewhere it was a benga tune. All the same, smasher of a tune.
