And it was just his opinion that the hype was undeserved. That doesn't make him "out of line".ghosttown wrote:no bro, thats my opinionContra88 wrote:ghosttown wrote:i don't think he raised any good points at all tbh.Shaan wrote:Beatlejuice raised some initial good points but then it just dissolved into hating.

ok out of line was the wrong term to use. but what i didn't get is he says he likes the tunes but then makes bad comments about them.Contra88 wrote:And it was just his opinion that the hype was undeserved. All he's saying is that they're not groundbreaking, they're good, but not raising the bar amazing.ghosttown wrote:ok out of line was the wrong term to use. but what i didn't get is he says he likes the tunes but then makes bad comments about them.Contra88 wrote:And it was just his opinion that the hype was undeserved. That's besides the point and if I say, this will just turn into a "my producer is better than your producer" ruckus. His opinions are not mine...ghosttown wrote:cool. what artists do you think are raising the bar?Contra88 wrote:All he's saying is that they're not groundbreaking, they're good, but not raising the bar amazing.ghosttown wrote:ok out of line was the wrong term to use. but what i didn't get is he says he likes the tunes but then makes bad comments about them.Contra88 wrote:And it was just his opinion that the hype was undeserved. Haha, beatlejuice loves to talk smack on the net it seems.
Id just like to point out, reading in the old Loefah interview that is linked in this interview that he names missy Elliots beats as some sort of inspiration at the time he was making horror show etc.
Which i think was interesting because i recall a couple of people shunning timbaland on here for "copying dubstep" when that fulla has been just writing slow hiphop/crunk tempos since he popped on the scene, and his beats influenced cats like loefah a couple of years back.
Anyway, I think KM have got a cool sound and i hope they continue with doing their thing.

but if you read the interview, Kryptic Minds openly admit that they know hardly anything about dubstep. Friction doesn't deny the fact that he's playing tracks to please the crowd, thats what he does best! I just think Leofah constantly contradicts himself in this interview, also with the whole Coki thing, he firstly states he hates all the wobble stuff thats going on right now, but then defends Coki. i love Coki personally, can't do a thing wrong in my mind, BUT he is defintly on the wobble tip...smartface wrote:I think what they were complaining about was the fact that Friction is basically doing this to please crowds. He's texting Benga who's in the top 3 mainstream dubsteppers but probably has no fucking clue what dubstep is.gaston_UK wrote:good interview, long! but extremely interesting.
I must say i find it a little confusing as to why they're hating on Friction for wanting to play a bit of dubstep in his sets, Friction isn't asking to get booked at dubstep raves so he can spin dubstep... and Loefah's sitting there complaining about it.. with Krypitic Minds, known primarily for their work in DnB?!
Track listing is sick, but it's ALLLLL their own work, which begs the question - are they really deeper into dubstep then any other DnB producer/DJ like Friction?...
I have no problem whatsoever with DnB producers converting to dubstep, but don't hate on others for wanting to do the same.
still, this is one of the most interesting and indepth interviews i've read fro a long time, so i do respect blackdown for posting it.
I think peeps need to just concentrate on what they do, don't worry about what others are doing, Loefah seems hell bent on hating on most of the scene, which is frustrating.
