It's a 'religious' thing, although i'm tempted to say it's the "MEAT=MURDER!!!" thing to find out what the bad news is..
To get a fish's meat you need to kill it, obviously. So technically eating fish is murder too.
Also everyone who enjoys tuna has at least one dead dolphin on his conscience.
Milk and eggs dont have fish in them

Yeah, and i find the whole "vinyl only" thing so fucking infuriating. You're hurting the genre, man. I mean, I like compa's tunes but i dont want to buy his stuff on vinyl, buy a special usb turntable, then rip it for my personal collection - and i remember someone posted a thread with some weak drama that compa was all "my release was for the hedz only". Lol fuck off.

yeah im with you on that, really don't like drinking. Its annoying too because its the norm for 90% of my friends. They always invite me out for a drink thinking my lack of interest in drinking would quickly change after one drink... noo.. it makes realise how much i hate drinking and everything else that comes with it... and no im not going to tell everyone else to fuck off if they don't agree with me

what about drinking because cos you like the drink/ the taste, rather than taking effects into consideration?

I don't think they're being bitches, as far as I can tell they're not hating on the on people who buy digital or even the entire digital format itself. They just prefer vinyl, and therefore their releases cater to people buying vinyl.
Nothing wrong with that imo

Compa does get a bit pretentious about it though.

maybe, I honestly don't follow compa too closely though. I like his tunes, I just don't lurk on his facebook or read his interviews or anything

He just put up a whole big status about how because all he does is cut dubs and play vinyl, that's the only way that he wants his music to be available. Don't think he realises that not everyones mums give them money for cutting dubs.

And his tunes aren't even as good as, lets say, Kahn's - and i can get all his stuff on digital alongside the 12s.

It's not a matter of quality. Some absolute stonking shit gets put out on vinyl. Funny that people call Compa a little bitch (might be, don't know the guy, have spoke online a few times, seemed alright then), then moan about paying less than the cost of 2 pints for something months of effort has gone in to, because it isn't just exactly as they want it. :4:

(Possibly) unpopular opinion: Some of the big name labels don't half put out some generic "bass" music and then have the balls to moan about other releases sounding the same. Just because you DJ every night and put it out on vinyl doesn't mean it's not the most boring shit ever.

true that

vinyl is just a medium for playing and listening to music, it doesn't define the quality of the tunes

That is exactly why we started about vinyl in the first place.....

Also why I mentioned Compa, because he keeps going on about vinyl being the best etcetera etcetera.

People like that make me go cuckooo.

Big meh, the problem is people playing 'live' sets while they are actually letting Ableton 'Live' sync all their tunes. Plus,
they always have their whole set laid out.

Why am I even responding if I know these opinions are going to be unpopular :)

Nils: You call non-vegan vegetarians hypocrites for eating dairy, saying how cruel it is and how evil it all is.
But you eat both meat and dairy. So who's more hypocritical here do you think?
Before you say "but I don't claim to be doing a good thing blahblahblah" - you're still acknowledging that its an incredibly inhumane and monstrous act, and you're still doing it.

Anyway.

Mala is overrated, he's got a few good tunes, a few amazing tunes, but a lot just sound poorly produced ... I know its meant to be "raw" but come on... -t-
My name is Dom and I like making ambientish music and drinking tea. Nice to meet you.
