Literally nobody is saying anything other than we got dicked on in all areas of the field by the better team. The REFEREES spotted something wrong with the ball, but for some reason, Pats fans seem to think that the Colts are trying to make excuses. No wonder everybody hates them.
no one has said if it was the league or the colts who made the fuss about this. And seeing as Kraft came to Goodell's side (wrongfully) in the Ray Rice case it wouldn't be them to kick up a fuss. REGARDLESS, 4 oz of air less in a football does not equate to the 38 points lead.

Well seeing as nobody from the Colts have mentioned it publicly, and every report says it was discovered when the referee spotted the ball, I reckon it's a bloody good indicator that it was the referees.

Again, nobody is saying it was a sole cause of the 38 points lead, it's just the rules.

But i dont see how it would have benefited the Patriots at all. By all accounts its harder to accurately throw a ball that has less air.

yes it would. Spygate was more them trying to see how far they could push the envelope. Deflating balls is straight up against the rules.

Not sure if this is the reason, but it's the thing a lot of places are running with, so I'll go with it. It was pissing down with rain, a fully inflated ball is gonna be hard to hold in that weather, even with giant ass QB hands. A slightly deflated one would sacrifice a bit of accuracy (not that it was needed when Edelman was surrounded on all sides by ten yards of empty space on every third down) for a lot more comfort of grip. I'm guessing there'd have to be an advantage for it to be against the rules.

without any knowledge of grip or hand size and that stuff, that sounds pretty understandable.

Obvs my regular ass hands are nowhere near the sort of martian hands NFL QBs have, I can throw a ball with a tight spiral at least 40 yards, but when it's wet, it's 50/50 whether it comes out fine or spins out of my hand and flops to the ground, so I can see it too.

In the unlikely event anyone is going to be spending $100 on the ESPN Fan Shop before April 1st, here's a code for $20 off that I got for winning the fantasy league lol

Lol, this deflated ball thing seems to be turning fairly serious. 11 of 12 balls deflated, spotted by D'Qwell Jackson when he picked Brady, and now the Ravens appear to be claiming they think the same thing happened to them. In terms of the result, I saw a comment that best sums it up on a Colts blog:
We still would've lost, but it's like not pushing a student for cheating on a test because we would've got an A anyway
In the most shocking turn of events, a lot of the Pats fans I've seen commenting after it was confirming balls were under-inflated is that they're disappointed in their team. They're right, they absolutely don't need to do it to win as they're clearly good anyway, but this is another blotch on a franchise that still hasn't put Spygate behind them.

And if they were found to be tampering with the balls, then they should be punished. Difference there being is that there isn't a staff in charge of the Panthers or Vikings that had a major infraction that cost them draft picks in the past...

so because its the patriots everyone needs to blow this out of proportion when apparently teams have been doctoring the balls all along?

Yes, because Belichick and co were part of a major infraction not that long back, and now have done something again in at least ONE play off game (potentially more), and most importantly, they were CAUGHT doctoring the balls. All other evidence being presented at the moment is that certain teams/players MIGHT have done something.

If you can't see why the same team that were caught out in Spygate breaking the rules again in a championship match is "blowing out of proportion" then you're just being willfully ignorant tbh, and if you think the spotlight would be less on any other team that had done it in a championship match, you're wrong.
