I was always taught it was polite.

I myself am guilty of not always saying it.

But sometimes there is a way people come across when saying something e.g. my dad 'make me a coffee', now if someone said that to you, just demanded it, would that not piss you off?
It doesn't hurt to say please.

Chin up, mate, they're loss. Take it as a pinch of salt. Forget about it. Apply elsewhere.

I feel your pain. Didnt fall asleep till gone 5am, was hoping for nice lie in for most of the day but forgot to cancel my alarm and woke up at 7am. Have been awake since and cant sleep. Supposed to be getting some rest so I can shake this flu and be bright eyed for the ninja meet up tonight (although Dead Rats will be bringing his good friend Charles who always seems to perk me up)

dont worry - its not over yet...... they may well have not got through interviewing everyone or made a decision yet..... use the followup tactic - ironically most employers assume people do this, plus it's a handy way to remind them about you and reiterate how perfect you are for the job :) it's really helped me keep lines of communication and other options open.

email or phonecall - just thank them for their time and say it was a pleasure to meet them, say how great you think it is that your experience at xyz is perfect for the role (or summat like that) and show your enthusiastic for the job (basically, playing things cool really isnt the way to convince them).

that should be enough to nudge them into saying something without outright demanding it- then you can always phone later if they havent got back to you. some times it's the followup that lands the job over someone else.

good luck :D

Cool, cheers.

I will do that, no harm in reminding them why I should be their number one!

I was planning as well that if they said no, I would email as well saying something along the lines of 'Thank you for the interview, obviously I'm disappointed that I didnt get the job... Would you be able to tell me what let me down in the interview process so that i can make sure it happens again.'
Jumping the gun there a bit though. So will take your advice and remind them why im the best candidate for the job! :)

Just ring 'em, have a go, send it back.
Simples :)

Oh and today just keeps getting worse
Had to go out and spend all of the money i have left so my lil sister could give my mum her own birthday present, WHAT THE FUCK?!

I also got my mum a photo frame and pics etc, got home, started doing the photo frame, and the friggin glass smashed!
So i then had the borrow money from my brother, mission it to morrisons, get a photo frame (which i might like to add there was only one type), run back, after alot of hacking at the photos, they finally fitted in.
Then i saw there were two tiny size photo holes at the bottom of this frame. 2 x 2 " WHY?! I DONT HAVE PHOTOS THAT BLOODY SIZE!
I just left it. I couldn't be doing with it.
Had to quickly make a cake, I didn't have a choice.
Was told to!

I'm tired, Hungry, I don't want to go to work.
Urgh

people with no manners get on my nerves

i take the time to let you go first, hold the door for you etc etc then at least say thanks....if i'm talking to another customer then wait till i'm done before asking me a question..it's not all about you you know...everyone gets my undivided attention when i am serving them etc etc....and coming up to m and saying 'scuse' is more fucking offensive than saying nothing...yes...that's why i'm looking at you like i want to kill you even though i'm asking what you need....

Customers who don't wait.. I get it every bloody weekend at the pub.

You'll wait like everybody else.

I have met some of the rudest people in my life at the pub.
Just last week i got 'OI! Bitch. You gunna fucking serve me or what?'
I was actually gobsmacked.
