I think this kind of tune would be better off straightened out rather than wonky, it sounds more synthetic than most wonky hip hop, s personally id go the quantized way. Maybe a little less reverb on the snare to, give it more body and blam
There's is no reverb on the snare and that piano effect was intentional but if it's too much, I'll tone it down.
Oh never mind, I was kinda baked when I posted. What's the ADSR like?

@Superginger Love the meaning behind this song dude. I knew some of the folks that was on Utøya, some of them are still missing... :(
Over to the feedback. Not much to say other than that it sounds kinda empty. (I'm listening on some crappy headphones right now, could be it..) I mean, u got some seriously nice sounds and all, but just after every drop, there is not much in the background to fill it up. Try adding some stuff in tha back :W:^

@Weedhelmet
FILTH :o I actually have nothing to say atm, can't come up with anything... (sorry)

@E-T-F
Love the vibe, perfect for chillin'. Only thing I can come up with now is that u should change the perc a little, add in some other elements. Other than that, good tune bruh! :D

Oh and I got to add, @BudSpencertron, I love your tune :U: Sounds pretty much finished to me ;)

Here's my WIP atm. Beware, It's made with crappy headphones since I'm on vacation. No sub-bass at all yet... And drop is to be changed....

@Mac Daddy: During the intro I feel like its gunna explode at any second and exterminate the entire human race. Its pretty sick, but it gets repetitive. Although the second/middle section is fucking awesome :W:

@blinkesko: Sounds like happy hardcore, perhaps cause of the lack of subbass haha. Its cool, but the main part is a little too hyped up. And the snare needs to be brought up as well as the kick a little bit.

@Super: I like the double hits on the bass and snare, gives the song a theme. Cool stuff, lots of emotion in this one. Everything sounds dope, except I don't like the note you stop on at 2:30.. I feel like it should be a few intervals higher, but overall very tight tune.

Here's my tune, "Sublime Waves of Time".. needs some revision before I call it a day on this one.

kes-es : nice bass sounds but maybe tone them down so they dont stand out as much and maybe bring up the twinkly melody sound so the drop doesnt have such an abrupt change in loudness

zerbaman: song sounds nice and quite bouncy. high melody is nice and like how it changes. vocals sound super clean as well. possibly make the rolling percussion sounds slightly more prominent. song is pretty quiet but i imagine it would sound great if mastered

lucaskane: love the sub man and nice mixdown, find it hard to crit. i guess add another percussion sound later on to keep it rolling. kickdrum could be a little louder and midrange of sub could maybe use a little something :4:

budspencerton: nice sounds i could see this going somewhere. Id take out the vocal hits on the second drop personally, and make the kick and snare more prominent .

here is one of the songs ive been working on a little bit recently, harsh crit is best thx

I didn't unless compression and transient shaping counts. I also boosted a bit around 200 Hz.

And I'm glad you pointed that out about the piano cuz I was feeling a bit iffy on that as well. I dont have my keyboard with me cuz I'm out of state so I was trying to emulate human error in the piano roll and overdid it

Thanks for the feedback everyone!

Seems like the general feeling is that it isn't a stand out tune but I am really enjoying making it so will carry on taking everything on board

jrisreal - The 7 minute version of your tune I really like! Great drum work, very balanced sound.. Just needs a vocalist! And no my tune wasn't dubstep.. I don't know what it is! It just came out like that! hah.

@wizardd Not really feeling this the mixdown needs improving the bass is just too in your face for me. I like space when it comes to music there is just too much going for me personally. I'd personally start on building a nice intro first then let it all fall into place the drums seem ok the snare is a bit cracky on my speakers (might just be because they are shit ) sorry if it seems like mean feedback but I'm not one to say I like a tune if I don't at all :) but then again not everyone will like everything!

@fds I like the sample in the intro, the drums sound good I'd put some reverb on the snare though. I'm against brostep big time but I do like the mid bass nice megatron masturbation sounds ;-) I'd just say work on the sub get a nice rumbling one under. I'd maybe add a bit of variation throughout and switch up the breakdown maybe reverse the vocal switch up the drums when it drops. but besides that good work mate I look forward to hearing how it goes!

@fluidmoshun I'm not too sure if this is meant to be dubstep? I feel it's just lacking a few things does not feel full yet and the bass sounds a bit squeeky at some points. I'd go back to the drawing board with it if you was trying to make it a dubstep sounding number. I do like the mid range in places nice little vibe going (I like the guitar)

My work in progresss so far I'm quite pleased with the way it is turning out "Actually not got side tracked for once!" (Any feedback appreciated be it good or bad really go for it!)

Give 3 pieces of feedback before posting your WIP to keep the feedback going mate.

I think the song itself is cool, I like where you're going with it, but some of the synth sounds could be turned down in the mix. At about :57 things just get really out of control, that main synth is almost all I can hear. Also the high pitched chimes sound is killing my ears, may want to filter that a little bit more.

That being said I dig that pitch shifted glitch rise just before the drop, nice.

Thank you guys, ahahahah its funny cause literally what you guys pointed out in my song annoys the hell outa me too. I mean when i make music I like to put a good basis of what i want down then work from there. From there i usually change up a lot

OMG the new version of my poopstorm i called dubstep before sounds SOOOOOOOOO MUCH BETTERRRR hahahaha ill post it later guys great stuff, i still cant find an end to listening to all your tunes haha
