I've seen coke turn people into stnuc, but no more so than any either type of drug. Ket turns people into stnuc. Weed turns people into stnuc. Alcohol turns people into stnuc. It's all about your general mentality as a person, at the end of the day.

Yeah, I can see that, coke doesn't do much so I suppose I kind of agree with this. I never understood coke use other than it being a status thing, I like my drugs to actually make me feel different, coke never really did that but then again I never went looking for it just tried it when people had it.

That 'drug for people that don't like drugs' statement rings true to me as well - I too know at least one person who was and remains pretty anti-drugs as far as he is concerned but will accept a line at a party

It kills people in S America, makes slaves of the rest, kills people through overdose, is addictive, destroys the rainforest, kills living cells, it is genuinely the most evil fucked up thing you can put into your body.

I can be persuaded to take it, but only in pursuit of a slore. Makes you near invincible on that front.

The Sunday Times plugged drug expert Tom Feiling’s new book ‘The Candy Machine: How Cocaine Took Over the World’ this week, interviewing the author in an unusually frank article titled ‘The truth about cocaine in Britain’.

Mr Feiling, an award-winning film-maker previously best known for his documentary ‘Resistencia: Hip-Hop in Colombia, noted that cocaine use has comfortably overtaken ecstasy amongst young Brits aged 16 to 24 and is taken by such a wide cross section of people that it’s ‘no longer a yuppie drug or a club drug’.

“Cocaine might be called the drug for people who don’t like drugs,” he added.

Do you agree with the sentiment expressed? I've always kinda thought that coke was the drug that lots of people who were scared to do pills would try. I've met people who were worried about "being out of control" on anything stronger, but were perfectly fine with doing the odd line.

Well I agree. Cocaine doesn't "intoxicate" you the same way for instance E or Alcohol does. It also doesnt incapacitate you in the same way say, LSD does.

In fact, id go as far as saying coke "un-intoxicates" you.
