Nowt wrong with influences if they're used to create summat fresh and add a twist to the existing.
It's when it's a blatant rip off that it takes the piss.

I do get annoyed when someone uses a woodblock and then gets flamed for sounding like Burial, whilst the dubs section is fairly heavily influenced by a large amount of well known wobble tune smiths. And yet no one gets pulled up for plagiarism then.

Double standards.
