now, this is probably a debate for a different thread, but this is something I have wondered for a while - bouncing everything down to audio before mixing. a lot of people say to bounce everything to audio so that the audio engine can work its full power into making the wavs sound good rather than having to power a vst AND midi. i suppose having a 192 soundcard would iradicate this problem but for everyone else what do you reckon?

to me i think the timing might be slightly better if everything is wav but maybe the depth of sound is lost when bouncing to audio... :?: either way, hardware is better for everything other than pristine sound quality.
