two: this is nice. The harp is something different (in my limited experience) - but stuff like that is good. If you hear this intro, you'll know what tune is coming. ;-) Standard wobbly basswork is all good.

Just a production note: is the loud snare peaking a bit? Sounds raspy to me. Also, there might be some too-strong compression on the bass, making it feel quieter. I'm no expert. :-)

Keep it up and post your progress!

(Listening on 824s.)

Cheers, chaps.

:)

Joe - The snare is a layered bunch of snares and a clap. I wanted it to be a little abrasive - See, I'm from an Industrial background, so I'm more accustomed to biting people's ears off and pumping pure evil into their heads. ;) This is the most easy listening thing I've made in ages...

The bass might be a little compressed - I can't remember if I did or not! I might experiment with not compressing it all all, if it is.

Cheers!

Ah, industrial. Makes sense. ;-) I guess the dubstep vibe is to make the snare smack without overdriving it. (See what Mr Transition says in the MTV dubstep video http://www.myspace.com/dubstep.) It's all about the evilness, though.

Keep it heavy.

yeh really fat. can hear the industrial background for sure. am liking the harshness of the snare personally...
n the kick is nice n thuddy.
love the juxtaposition between the initial section n the drop...
would love a 320 of the final version.
heavy heavy stuff
ps, if yr liking industrial evilness as well as dubstep, check out some of me tunes on me space, i think theyd be on yr level. could arrange some tune swapping innit...

Cheers again! I'm busy beefing up the bass at the moment. :bins: I'm not entirely happy with the lows - Has anybody tried it out on a big system, yet? They can maybe tell better than me.

I should have the track finished within a couple of weeks.

Cheers again, all...

Here is a quick bounce I did last night. The start is a bit fucked up (Entirely my fault) but you get the picture.

It's quite minimal sounding. I tried a flute, but it started sounding like something else. I guess there are a lot of flute tracks out there. I kinda like the minimal aspect of it. The bass is getting there now. I'll probably do another couple of arrangements of it or something later on when I get the hang of things.

Cheers!
