because it's harder to download booze and tickets from torrents, because nobody tells the barman he's happy to work at parties and so on...
yea being a 27 year old producer seeing it all i'm jaded as hell
i mean i get that and get paid but due to scene politics its taboo to name names etc when it comes to shady labels etc which i think is bs
like i said jaded and been ripped off before production wise
if money were made and not shared, that's not lack of funds so kinda offtopic
you gotta be sure on your case because if you throw false accusations you're done
i've been ripped too, but hard to prove, also had a couple of producers who wouldn't believe the sales they made...
so careful with that and i don't think it fits in this thread (but not like i'm trying to tell you what to do on this one)
my point is being public bout it
bad career wise but good for up and coming

Yeah, but since people suck too much for it to work, it's not the way.

i don't think it is
the promoters may be short of dough but they\re still paying the djs
3 sets a week at 200gbp is enough to have a nice living and thats the bare minimum now
with coda asking 2 grand/4,500 at times for the biggest artists they can live like footballers

Its the whole music thing that isn't making as much money now days, Not just in dubstep. I've been producing for about 5 years now and never seen any money from my tracks. I've made a bit recording, doing session musician work and as a live engineer. It all depends on what level your at, and weather or not your lucky enough to get a big break.

If you wanna make money from music, being a musician is probably the worst idea.
