I realise now barefiles is down how much i used it and its alot of work for no return thats some hardcore dedication to the cause and i think five or ten pound a year is not a probelm for the kind of content where getting, i hardly listen to anything on my mp3 player these days other than sets from barefiles (which in someways is a little sad) but it makes me walk to uni twice a day that little bit easier and it normally covers a radio show a day.

What about donations again deapoh? Keeping it free has to be the best option in terms of maximum usage and audience. Respec'.

how about some kind of premium service deal?
like a reasonable subscription for a year or something gets you fresh mixes as soon as they're upped. You could keep the site open for everyone to download but maybe make people who don't subscribe wait a couple of weeks for fresh shows?

yeah yeah I'd gladly throw down for this. i'd like to think donations could take care of it. even if you had to do it once a year...like a Holiday Barefiles Drive
you could just do it w/ Paypal, correct?

Yeah uhm not too sure how to go about it. Big up Stigi cos he was telling me about it a while back via PMs. Ricardo... may need your help again for it if you lot really want it.
No prob. I think it would be a worthwhile feature, especially for a site like yours that is constantly being updated
I might change the site so you have to register for 5 / 10 quid a year so I can switch up for a much better server etc. I'm still thinking about this... up to you lot.
I'm partial to the free model myself (w/ donation box), but I can understand if server costs and all that would prevent you from doing it.

I'll def. chip in on the cash. If it weren't for the site, I wouldn't know of such good sounds.

i'd happily pay if it secures the long term future of the site. i'd assume it takes up a lot of deapoh's time to record all the shit and then upload it and just generally run the site.
being from glasgow, i dont know what i'd do to keep up properly with all the shit thats going on down south on the radio and that.
downloading from barefiles is pretty much what got me properly into dubstep.
serious ups to deapoh! cant wait to see barefiles back up and running again.
