Will he change his name to Gettingonabitstar or Imgettingabitoldforthismalarkeystar as the years go by?

I am genuinely fascinated but too lazy to search
I think his plan is to become DJ Red-dwarf.

Or possibly DJ Supernova, if he's gained a bit of mass in his later years.

I ADMIT DEFEAT

Post by owengriffiths » Wed Dec 06, 2006 6:42 pm

Its a very easy mistake to make, and the fact there has been so little controversy about two people on the scene having the same name over the years then it is understandable that you would think the blackmarket boy is king of the playstation pulse. There surely must be a million people who have been thinking the same thing as me (I thought his denial of his musical mob past was just because he was snobbish about 8 bar)

That is why I didn't believe any of the previous posts saying I was wrong were true. But obviously I was wrong.

However I reiteretate, once he handed me a tune which was a sort of pulse x bootleg remix, which he implied was by him. Maybe what he meant was, this is an under the counter remix thing i did of SOMEONE ELSES tune.

So despite this, I accept defeat, FWD resident youngsta never did pulse x. But did he do the DJ Quest track? He would have been quite young at the time.

Unlike certain pansy techno DJ's, not everyone gets their panties in a bunch over having same or similar names 8)

ouch. cringe. you need that blog mate.

and the thing is, they don't actually have the same name. surely this should make you think they might not be the same rather than that they are...?

a repeat of the same question for scientific accuracy only without changing any variable and using the same sample?

The fact that there is so little controversy is because Youngstar and Yungsta are not part of the same scene and that the majority of everyone here can distinguish between the two...so there has never been the need to make a big deal out of it.

But if you didn't believe any of the previous posts in other threads, why would you ask the same people the same question again?!

Can only assume this is about the whole plasticman/plastikman thing which in fairness richie hawtin has been using the name since 1993 however the truth is that if you look up the amount of artists on discogs with names like "hype" or "random" theres loads of producers
released material under the same names with no difference in spelling, all a bit strange really but the legal arguement is does the name confuse the public and who has greater claim over usage of the name. Same happened with Blue and Liberty x if anyone wants to check case historys because there truely as boring as me.

yeah but what gets me about the hawtin thing though is that he has about 13 other aliases, some of which are shared by other artists. The whole affair just seemed rather disingenuous to me. There should be a limit to how many aliases you can claim as "yours".

No matter...Plastician or not, he'll always be Plasticman to me.....
