I think dubstep is so awesome right now. So many good tunes that sound totally different. 2010 is gonna BIG

I'll stick to vinyl thanks.
Fuck you datsik, excsion, borgore, cookie monsta and any other ten for a penny producers that make absolute shite.
And you're not making money releasing tunes because...
Shut up.
Get off your high horse and understand what my post meant.
If you read between the lines - what I was implying is that any tune released on vinyl should be and probably is worth the vinyl it is pressed on.
Digital releases have fucking zero over heads. Everything from the word go is profit. There is generally (from my experience) zero capital involved except time.

Sorry John, I was a bit harsh. I apologise.

if you observe my posting style i am massively sarcastic rather than nasty
those artists are fucking awful though...what i hate about datsik is how obvious all his tunes are.....i can literally tell from the name of a tune what the obvious film/computer game sample is gonna be...when things are that obvious there is a problem
using samples is meant to be about finding the most out there and most interesting obscure bit of dialogue that nobody will ever know about...not the complete opposite

hmmm...you're suggesting nobody should hold an opinion on someone else unless the are of equal popularity?
that's really stupid mate...
i have mates couped up at home doing little but making beats and smoking all day that have distinctly better production skills than any of those mentioned...nobody hears their tracks because they're not that motivated by a need to be exposed

I can comment where, and how I like and in whatever fashion I fancy.
Especially I go to a rave to hear a particular artist and the DJ before/after the DJ I want to hear plays all this cack.
I started taking up smoking so I can leave the club without having to re-admit.

you're talking about excision/datsik/borgore as if they're stealing your customers. you think we can't tell frustration or envy? maybe you shouldnt rely on the view of the masses but use your own brain to think. or are you too inept to form an opinion? I heard masses like boybands too!
Pistonsbeneath, I honestly think everybody should hold an opinion which should be formulated as constructive criticism, friendly encouragement or moderate praising. why bash on someone's work? when we'll learn to appreciate diversity, we'll all become better people. till then, haters = spoiled teenagers

best of luck to your mates, I am really looking forward to the hidden talent in the scene.

I always have this arguement with my mates, and there always saying how Datsik, Downlink, Excision ect. are amazing and there doing things so different, when there really not. I think there production isn't bad, but it's so predictable.
I'm more into the Hyperdub/Planet Mu/Hotflush sound, and the future garage stuff, but I get the same arguements from my friends saying there aint enough bass, which is a shame.
I can deal with tearout wobbles everyonce in a while, but the majority are pure tripe.
But to answer about the topic title, I do agree. I think it's got to the point now where alot of people have realised that this wobble business has got stale and have stepped out and done some seriously forward thinking electronic music, not even conforming to the 140 rule anymore. I'm totally into the sound there going for, mad synths and heavy heavy sub bass.

someone not liking a particular sound does not equate to jealousy or envy...nor does it make them frustrated...
I do not dislike aggressive wobbly dubstep....i just think those artists make really poorly realised music that appears to miss where it aims.....it is lacking in that which it wishes to project...a bit like modern metal & horror...a lack of suspense also fits this analogy...
compare those guys to vex'd 'degenerate' and they seem ten a penny

Seckle you are the sort of person who would agree with this thread. But let's not get all beardy now or things will end up going the wrong way.
@Pistonsbeneath: I've noticed a lot of new, 2006-2008-esque stuff coming back and I appreciate lesser known people such as Compound One (Perhaps The Darkness for example)
I really think this wobble/tearout shite has had it's day and it's time for it to swiftly move on.

yeah, I'm sure it's had its day

I feel sorry for Excision and the gang, tho.. they'll probably have to get part-time jobs on minimum wage. but alas, the scene will once again prospere with open-minded people like yourself that will tell us all what's good and what's not! maybe you can post us some bits of your own stuff so we can see how dubstep will swiftly move on. emphasis on "swiftly"!
ah, to be young and ...

and the coment you said about the masses not liking this stuff your wrongly mistaken. I dont live i the UK and if thats where your from maybe thats how it is but here in Canada this stuff is the most popular type of dubstep. Excision & Datsik are ruling things over here. Selling out shows and giving people a good time, nothing wrong with that. Unless your Sir Buzzkillington

lol im not a huge fan of the extremely noisey tear out side (some of the stuff from the artists USTD mentioned), but ill find a few of the tunes decent. alot of it does come across a bit like cheap productions when there is so many similar kind of tunes always being made.
