EMU 0202. It is reliable as fuck, no bells/whistles, sounds great and really "solid" and is a decent price, too.

there is probably some truth in that statement when it comes to synths and stuff. But the best thing i ever did was by my mac the second best thing was purchasing a pair of decent monitors.
