Erm. Sorry. I dont mean to be rude, but thats bollocks. One one album he sampled Beyonce, Ray J and Christina Auguilera amongst others. If Kode9 got all of those samples cleared then the album wouldnt have been worth a commercial release.

Think about it. The entire of the "Archangel" vocal is sampled from a Ray J tune. All he did was pitch the vocal up and down a bit and that was it. Hardly changing it beyond recognition.

Well I might be off as the info was from a long time ago, but from memory I had read he cleared them before the album blew up, so the price wasn't as high as one might expect (which might also account for why the releases take so long). His tunes are used on television in a few countries now, and have won many awards, so if they are still going under the radar then that's pretty amazing I think.
