+ doesnt say every keygen is a virus lol ;)
THIS.

I used COMODO antivirus for a while, but it began to cause BSOD errors for no apparent reason and it'd munch my CPU usage... AVAST is awesome, somewhat annoying with the robotic guy saying "VIRUS DATABASE HAS BEEN UPDATED" every time it has a minor update but I'm sure if you had a look in the settings you could turn it off lol :)

Yeah I mentioned it, it's definitely one of the better ones.

Well I haven't had a virus or trojan on my Windows machine for many years now, probably since XP first came out. I've only been using avast for a couple of years, but no complaints so far. I also use other tools as backup, definitely don't rely on just 1.
FYI it's fine to have more than 1 antivirus installed as long as there is only 1 resident in memory. So you can have one that runs all the time, and one that only runs when you invoke it to do a scan.
Though I would say the best antivirus is not doing stupid or shady things online.

Do not get a virusscanner, it slows your shit down and it's not good for anything.

Just don't DL stupid shit. If you surf with firefox or IE 6 or higher you will be protected and warned from malicious websites.

I haven't had a virusscanner in over 8 years, never, ever, had a virus / spyware.

This is what I do. I dont want anything running on my system that can cause lag.

If you know what you are doing you can avoid virus's. I have a decent router with a firewall built in so anyone trying to personally attack me gets stopped.

You will still get virus's on ur PC with whatever anti virus software you have if you do not know what you are doing. Loads of scaremongering going on out there and people spend a lot of money trying to secure their computers.
Don’t worry about people stealing an idea. If it’s original, you will have to ram it down their throats.
