Tupac was lyrically more interesting but Biggie was funkier. That Biggie vs Sinatra mixtape that came out a few years back was pretty tight too.

Pac had better subject matter, especially with his first 3 albums. Flow wise, Biggie is a step ahead. But overall I find Pac more interesting to listen to.

I mean I still bump Pacs albums still....I still bump Ready to Die, but only that album. Life After Death wasn't as fresh as it was back then....and to be honest, if one was to consider that album a big influence in hip-hop, it influenced hip-hop for the worse.

Wish Biggie had a few more years to release some other shit. Despite his legacy, I think Biggie needed a few more releases.

but that's irrelevant :) and besides the point

vote goes to Pac

biggie takes it. I agree with whoever said it, biggie has aged much better. The west coast sound in general just sounds so 90's

Tupac's just bigger.....

I think tey got pushed against each other by puffdaddy nowdays known as p-diddy diddy or what ever. And the reason is, they was big friends before badboy started, there was a wrhole album of the both and it was big! i lost it! :( i think the album was never released officially.

Its strange, although I was always a big 2pac fan and thought his albums sounded more complete and were better produced overall id have to say Biggie had the better flow, punchlines and the rawer edge.

Id rather listen to 2pac though, too many classic tunes and albums:

Neither of them made much of an impression on me to be honest.

I don't know what that means, old chap.

I was born in Peterborough some years before Tim Westwood's dad took over as bishop.

I would actually say it was the other way around.

Totally agree with what someone else said about Big's music aging better, the production on Biggies records is far better than on Tupac's. However I do think that Pac's flow is better. Biggies lyrics were on the same par as tupacs but tupac had a lot more variation.

I bumped 2pac a lot back in the day, he had some really great stuff. I agree some of his beats are dated, but a lot of old school rap does that.

I listen to Biggie much more now. My biggest complaint is that Biggie's death led to Puffy making some bullshit hip hop in the name of Biggie, and in turn led to the majority of rapper's making TERRIBLE hip hop afterwards, leading to the absolutely dismal scene of hip hop today. Though who is to say that either of them could have gone horribly commercial if they were still alive today.

I don't really listen to Biggie or Pac a great deal, I mean I do like them both but I don't keep going back to their albums like I do with Jeru, Gza or Nas...
