purely Tech House/Deep House some techno (Dubfire type, not that fast horrible techno). At one point i would entertain anything that strayed from a 4x4 beat, partly because i was producing it aswell. I think i noticed the Skream essential mix coming up so thought id give this Dubstep thing a whirl. Dubstep then grabbed me by the nutz and hasn't let go. I literally went to bed and had dreams (or nightmares!) of Dubstep the day i discovered it.

That's intense man. How that happens I have no idea, but you would be the first I heard to have dreams about dubstep, or any genre of music for that matter.

That is unless if you fell asleep to it. Iv'e fallen asleep to jazz before and had some crazy ass nightmares as a kid. Something about a killer potato with Cookie Monster type eyes (the ones where the pupils are always bouncing around) that was chasing me through a mansion. I think the Riddlin had something to with that dream, but who knows...

I listen to just about any genre of music, but I credit Bassnectar with moving me to dubstep.

Still listen to it all.. Electronica was pretty much what started it though, Trance, Breaks, Jungle.. Not so much into the trance as much anymore but it kicked off a big love for electronica as a whole.

It's not what i've heard before. It is what i hear BESIDES dubstep ;)

Drill'n'Bass, Drum'n'bass, house, electronica, minimal, but also 60-70'ties rock, reggae, acid jazz and much more.. It's not like I only listen to dubstep, but it's my main interest atm.

After reaching a saturation with dnb around 2004, moved on to "Nu Jazz" (wish they could have come up with a better name for it), lots of stuff on the Ubiquity and Tru Thoughts labels, then sat around and waited for dubstep to happen.. which was already happening, but not in my purview... I still listen to jazzy and hip hoppy stuff when I'm not listening to dubstep. Flying Lotus is a thing I like that's happened in parallel with dubstep, I've put many other musical interests on hold.

50% of my music is (progressive) metal flavoured with a little hardcore punk. But that's shit has become too agressive for my liking. It was a lot more fun when I was still a teenager.

I made the switch to dubstep coming from heavy industrial dub music like Techno Animal and Scorn and also a lot of raggacore and jungle (and breakcore of course). So yeah, music has become ever slower for me. Comes with age I suppose.

My first dubstep party was late 2006 btw.
