I don't think rap and dubstep interwine well together. Perhaps, Grime would be a much better alternative.

Not much of a fan of caspa. Rusko > Caspa.

i was just really asking your opinion on the whole rap and dubstep combination....

Thread caught my eye for that very reason. I personally am opposed to anything that is produced for the sole purpose of doing well on the charts (ie - the enitre "rap" not hip-hop but rap scene)

I mean i do actually need to hear it before i shit on it, but i have my prejudices.

I have a complicated relationship with artists like Caspa and Rusko, and insert big name "dubstep" dj here. Unfortunately like any good fad the masses get their hands on, they chew it up and spit it out a few months or years later. We just gotta keep the UG strong, thats where the real magic is made.

i'll take a hip hop mc over a grime mc any day, minus the few exceptions of course

you should check squincy jones,,, pretty dope mix of dubstep and southern hip hop ( i may be a little bias being a tejano and all)

've been super underwhelmed with almost all caspa's newest productions, i'm rootin for him, but damn... vocals usually sounds good over dubstep when in double time or has a unique flow, but if its slow its usually pretty terrible :p

i feel like the hip hop/rap + dubstep (read: Thugstep) combo is really a hit or miss operation.

but when they click man...they fuckin click HARD. haven't got a chance to listen to the audio yet but looks like it's a miss from the last reply

wow, sounds like all of caspa's formulaic methods smushed into one song, hah! and that stupid digi synth :/

that chorus is more to my taste tho (1:17)

The problem is that Ludacris sucks. Also Caspa's beat is wack.

I believe it can be done. Shit look at Flowdan. I just hope that the next time someone tries this they pick a rapper that actually isn't horrible. Like Devin.

started off a set with this a while back, rinsed nicely with Purple City at the end...
