red was the shit, like the first pokemon game i had, i find when you're older though tactics play more of a part. like when i first started i caught 6 pokemon and trained tehm all to like level 20 which guarentees merkage through at least 2 gyms.

thats where EV training comes in

a proper EV trained Haunter will have way sicker stats than a standard gengar.

I fucking love Pokemon, but I don't really want to start playing a new game because I know that I'll get really into it and I don't really have the time. I need to be revising for exam and stuff!
Are there people that have every single Pokemon level 100?

you people chatting like red and play aint the best wanna get to know, if you dont think red and blue are the best then you werent there
those games were life changing and none of the add ons on the later version come close to improving on the original

It could be argued that 2nd gen improved on the first.

2nd gen starters are badass. 3rd and 4th generations are garbage (except for Chimchar, it's a fucking MONKEY ON FIRE).
5th generation legendaries look like they were designed by furries.

I dunno, ive been thinking about this a lot and i reckon its basically down to nostalgia when people say the first generation pokemon look the best. i had that view as well but then playing heart gold i realised most of them suck (for example goldeen) the newer ones actually look a lot more hi tech and abstract and a lot less like animals
also why would an EV trained haunted be better than an EV trained gengar?? does that mean an EV trained ghastly would be the best? and how do you EV train or accuracy i couldnt find anything on serebii

ev training in accuracy is jokes as far as I know.. ev trained gengar would be best.. (evolved at lv25 i think...)
Does anyone use their pokewalker... I would've been nuts for this shit back in the day... (unfortunately over 1000 kms need to be walked to unlock everything apparently)

depends how you do it, and i was chatting a cool draft about accuracy.
just depends, obviously you EV train your guys in accordance with the type of moves your using with them. but yea any pokeman can be sicker than a higher evolution if done right.
got to take into account the nature and all that aswell.
the pokewalkers look badass.
