i remember reading in an interview he used to (or still does) love the old photek & source direct sounds.

felt a bit of a photek vibe on the first 2 albums, dark, minimal stuff. would LOVE to hear what his tracks with a bit of source direct influence.

last quote, promise. Here's the reference :
But the thing is, I had this bunch of tunes for my 2nd album that were dark tunes, and I just scrapped them. I took ages on them. I was worrying, because after my first album I felt a bit of pressure to follow it up. I worked for hours on these tunes, and I was trying to learn these programmes. These tunes were darker, more technical, all the tunes sounded like some kind of weapon that was being taken apart and put back together again. But then I got sort of sick of them, because I spent so long on them, I was moody about other things. So I wanted to make a glowing record, I wanted to cheer myself up. Instead of doing those dark tunes that took ages and were really detailed, I wanted to make a record fast. Something warm, glowing, junglist and garagey....... You can do it really fast. I sort of did the whole album in about two weeks. Most of it in the final week.

and where does the OP expressing that he would like to hear another burial album imply any of that, or warrant such a response? especially when he had already replied to the thread without any of the attitude?

If that's the case then I apologize...but it certainly seems like a dickish attitude to me, even reading over it again now. I know if I made a post that simply expressed that I wanted to hear more music by an artist, a guy comes in and makes a comment, then comes back, calls me a kid, says I don't understand how these things work, and that I don't have patience, I'd tell him he was being a dick.

Shit, what if I told you I was?

How exactly is any of that sarcasm though? I don't see anything that hints of that being sarcastic at all.

edit: and I only care enough because I'm bored and I'm sick of not being able to read a thread on this board without people acting like jerks without provocation.

Id ask you how you have such a warped sense of tone of voice then? Sarcasm prolly not proper word but I get what tone that was in and felt like saying, I dont think that was dickish at all, just a bit american lotta deadly habit. Hate when I get misread on the board, figured Id say when I thought someone else was too.

Ask him if it bothers you so bad.

Like I said, it doesn't really bother me bad enough to ask anything...but that being said, I don't really have anything to ask?

I just call it as I see it. If I misinterpreted it, I apologized earlier.

nowaysj, you're right about me being gone too long...but it doesn't seem to stop people from labeling me a sarcastic bastard. Basic A was right in saying that sarcasm wasn't the right word there.

Think a lot of this beef could be obviated by a live chat, no jokes. It's been the three of us mucking up this forum right now as we type.
