Anything by Burial. (I don't go to many events which explains my lack of exposure to big sound systems...)

fair enough, 2 things though :

1) Surely Punisher was not as widespread as those tunes, it got rinsed but not to death (atleast not in Belgium and considering you're from Namur I think we can agree).

2) I was in Japan during most of that period. Deffo a different vibe and deffo different tunes getting played there.

As for Burial, I've heard alot of burial on the radio, but so far the only time I've heard Burial at a party was in 2007 in Nagano, Japan at an illegal rave. The tune 'Gutted' was rinsed and I seemed to be the only person that knew the tune.

Yeah, i has not been "rinsed to death" but considering there were less dubstep parties at that time than now i can say you could hear it at 1 party outta 2 during like 6 months. Anyway, i think you'll hear it one day on a big system, tune's such a classic.

Raving in Japan... gotta be nice! :D

For Burial, i heard one of his tune one time (i think it was "Archangel") played by Ramadanman, when he was playing alongside Skream and Benga at the Substance compilation release in Brussels. Me and my friends went maaaaaaad!!! So went other people (not a lot, but the ambiance that night was amazing) Ramadanman didn't expect such a response for a track like that.

I've heard Pinch drop the Harmonimix If I'm correct.
Have never heard the original though, which is far superior and one of dubstep's 10 best songs ever. Again, I have dropped it myself as the last tune of a set. Mouths opened I tell you.

I've heard this one, in 2K6 or so, not for the past 4 years or so. But agreed, that's ONE HEAVY 12.

joeki wrote:LoL at Coki Goblin and Skream Oskilatah, how the fuck is it possible you have never heard these? Unless you never go to any dubstep nights?
I mean, sure recently they haven't been getting much play time but that's for a reason.
Both tunes were rinsed to death at parties in '07/'08 as many people on the board can confirm, especially Oskilatah which was everywhere for a while.

Tracks I would like to hear and have never heard

Been to plenty of dubstep nights just obviously missed the ones that played out Goblin :(

I've yet to hear Loefah on a proper system. And 16Bit's "Classical."

Burial - Fostercare.
Somehow I've never heard that. You can be sure that if I did... I would BROCK OUT HARD. My facial expressions would take it to a new level.

Basic A. - Ket in Kaechon?

No but seriously...

Doomtrooper did that new socks two socks re-do for stench, that sounds like it would go down well ravin...

Really had to pick though, Id go with something from my legend4ry folder... beep... yeah... (big up legend4ry, funny after rackin my brain, thats the tune I come up with)...

....

Headstrung by distance would be nice to hear out too

....

And you know what so would soemthing burial

....

Dayn

.....

Only the most generic of brostep and the electro-ish stuff flys around here, you cant get TOO aggro and you cant go TOO subby, gotta be a nice, middle ground with alot of appeal to our existing electro scene, and just enough bro to keep the distortion ravers happy... Burial wouldnt go down, doubt Dayn would either (opposite ends of genre but idc love em both)... Legend4ry's beep might get some of the techno and house purists moving, but they wouldnt been on floor for something like dubstep anyway so doesnt matter...

We got a wierd scene... I lvoe it... but Im gettin bored with selection... Tempts me to start my own night....

Not a dubstep tune but I would shit my pants with joy if I heard massive attack - angel on a decent system.

Only heard japan played out once at the end. Wouldnt mind that again i must say
