Oh man I remember I was mesmerized by Original Pirate Material as a kid... Then kinda forgot about it (got heavily into punk, metal etc) then saw him live at a summer festival years later, completely by chance. big fan ever since. Original Pirate Material was my first contact with UK Garage, and I think it was through that starting point that I learned to love Drum n Bass, Dubstep, Funky and all vaguely related kinds of EDM... So it's safe to say that Mike Skinner has been a huge influence to me.

Original Pirate Material is a sick album, one of my favourite of all-time. 'Weak Become Heroes' is such a chillin tune.
