I liked 3rd bass, though I haven't been to any of the recent rammed events... In fact, I've never been to a rammed dubstep event... :-(

3rd base is TOTALLY the right place for DMZ...

they have made it their own....i missed the last one so i can't comment on whether it was uncomfortably packed but i'd say the same as the others have said, better a packed night with a vibe, than one with room and a lack of one...

it would be madness to give up a venue that sounds and feels so good...

i remember the whole reason for doin that night was beacause DMZ were fed up with playin on crappy systems...i remember the post from Loe on Dubplate.net actually! (what a gooner) "right....me & mala ain't messin about any more......" and it went on to list the line up for the first DMZ!

the system in there is nearly perfect, and it comes with the venue...proper invidual club for and individual night...
out in April
APPLE PIPS 001
Martyn - All I Have Is Memories / Suburbia

out soon
APPLE PIPS 002
Brendan Moeller / Beat Pharmacy remixes of Appleblim & Peverelist's 'Over Here'

out now
SKULL008
Peverelist & Appleblim - Circling / Over Here

SKULL009
Shackleton - Death Is Not Final / T++ remix

Oh btw, just in case, I'm not suggesting to move it immediately, 1st birthday at the 3rd base is going to be heavy.

The last dmz wasn't uncomfortably packed - it was perfect. They started turning people away at exactly the right time. The place was at its fullest during Mala and Loefah's set, but there was still room to dance...

Its like I said before, I live 2 minutes from 3rd Base, and I never get it together to go to DMZ. If it moves, I have no chance.

NONE I TELL YOU.

There is no need for it to move anywhere. it wasn't too packed at the last one, nor has it ever been. There are no good bigger venues in London. The End sucks balls - there's a wall through the middle of the dancefloor! Fabric sucks bigger balls - far too expensive and far too full of wankers. Ministry - forget it.
3rd Base completely serves the needs of the night - aside of the extortionate bar prices....otherwise......leave things be!

if it's gonna move SEOne's the best suggestion so far. We did a couple of adverse camber nights there and it's a cool place.. just massive though. Equally, i live 10min away and i'm happy with it being in a small, packed, vibey place.

Dont bear thinking about - That would be especially bad for me as i got no way of getting back home from London after midnight. Im generally in pretty early to avoid a lock out though...

I think generally a move would be supported if the essence of DMZ was kept, which I'm sure it would be - they just have to avoid all the wanky big clubs.*

No sell out!

*and keep it Brixton. Please.
