Re: Synkro - Angels, lead sound synthesis?
It's not the same, but there's a few similar things, like the filter modulation and obviously the enveloping

Hahaha, another victim! We've all heard this sound, just can't source it. Donk 5 in that pack is very very close. I'm sure there is something done to the sound after it's creation, there is a certain bite to it.

If you load up sytrus and go into the bass presets there's one called, "Squelch". If move the mod X/Y around you'll hit a spot that is damn near close to it. With a bit of tweaking to filter 1 and some chorus/reverb you could probably hit this sound right on the head.
Re: Synkro - Angels, lead sound synthesis?
i see what youre saying with that preset... still lacks the punch the stab has. its a strange one!

Re: Synkro - Angels, lead sound synthesis?
By tweaking stuff on the first filter I've been able to punch it up quite a bit. I would assume you could make this sound with that preset it just depends on your ability and knowledge of sounds and effects. As the old saying goes, "There's more than one way to skin a cat". My problem is I don't even know one way to skin this metaphorical cat so it's difficult to learn any other ways.Project_B wrote:i see what youre saying with that preset... still lacks the punch the stab has. its a strange one!

Another one bites the dust, another one gone, another one gone, another one bites the dust.

Re: Synkro - Angels, lead sound synthesis?
if anyone is still looking for this sound i've cracked it by accident, and had a search through and found this thread
its just a sawtooth with the filter envelope dialed up, a tiny bit of resonance and a lot of FM
if anyone is still interested i can record it (on my phone as i've not got my interface at the moment) for your thoughts...

Don’t worry about people stealing an idea. If it’s original, you will have to ram it down their throats.

Re: Synkro - Angels, lead sound synthesis?
what i meant was filter (LP) envelope amount turned to the max
messing around with the envelope to try and get it right, and synkro's one sounds a bit compressed and also some high pass filter on it before a subtrack, but i cant do that without my interface
i'll record what it sounds like later today (but it will be through the mic on laptop for now!)
