@kievccs, I like dude I like! I was hoping it would've progressed.. Maybe tone it down for 16 bars then break it back in? Great lay out though. I can't give much criticism cause it really is a chill track, nothing bad 'bout it sir! Great work!

I uploaded a new version of my track on the previous page of this thread if anyone wants to check it out..

@ bmills; Nice trancy tune man, well varied and its very different. maybe a little more of the mods like at the end, and a little more reverb, to give it that dubby flow,but yeh nice tune man.

@ CollisionCourse; liking the minimal vibes, very percussive & interesting beat. should stick some heavily delayed guitar chops or somethin on beat 2 to give it the upbeat feel if thats ya thing, nice work tho.

@ Conflux; sick tune dude those violins and other natural instruments fit well in the mix, nice n chilled too. good work with the rolling snares too maybe a little more variation? good job man

check out some of my shizz if you can, feedback is much appreciated;

this ones fairly new, last of my ableton productions

finnished the rough mix to this yesterday, first logic production (hence why it's abit rubbish, helped me get to know my way around logic tho)

@DJ Psychonaut

Liked both of the tracks you posted, may I ask you what synth you use for your bass wobs in Requiem please?

Think the first track, could do with the wobs being cut a little lower, sounds like you've HP'ed them quite high, sounds too ruthless, needs more more bass. Although if you've used Massive it might be you've got it set on wierd wavetable with not alot of lows, not sure what's going on. THe middle section could use a riser be it noise/glitch/pitch sweep, but I would like it to build up a bit more energy for the drop as it's a little bear atm.

Here's a wierd one I've been making:

Any feedback appreciated :) Will carry on looking at others and feedback all over your face in a few :)

@BMills

THat was cool, liked the proggy vibe, but would like more of the craziness at the end to happen earlier in the track, but fucking loved that bit at the end, tis the tits.

The first drop c. 0.55 do not drop heavy enough, needs to smack people round the face with your bass, but that's just me, but could use a stop when it gets to the end of the build, then a smash with noise going down or a cymbal, to make some impact. Feel the groove and then nut it.

Peas

@Imperial

Liking the 8 bit mentalness, really cool melodies, freaking shweeter than a nut :) And pretty trippy!

Bass is filthier than bath in a sewer, might need a bit of control in places, bit of very low eq like chop out 40hz, just rumble not even audible, not even sub, just useless wastes of energy + headroom!

Nice progreesion just filthier than a nuns tnuc.

@Collision Course

Very minimal, but has some really nice rhythm in it, proper laid back :) Wouldn't mind a bit more of a bass line though, it is a dubstep forum after all! Cool tune reminds me of the days of playing about with reason 2.5 untill the early hours!

@Sirius

Not a fan of hip hop, but this has a nice vibe to it, chilled and easy to listen to, get bass line in there and you're laughing :)

@Thierry le DJ

NIce mate, liking it proper nicely produced, tight bass, decent progression, wouldn't mind some more sounds over some of the sections, just sublte transition type effects that just kinda flow in and out with the track to make it more interesting to listen to. Wouldn't mind a riser in the drop section.

@Kievcss

Nice synths, that's the kind of liquid I like to drink, or have a swim in ;) I think yours has lots of kicks init tbh! But still like it nice and subtle chiled and groovy, definitely imaging this being played in chill out rooms, with floaty lights, and hash shmoke a plenty! :) Keep it up!

@Conflux

Needs mad amounts of high as well as low! But too much of a filtered sound going on, eq maybe remove some mud in places, and layer some higher drums?

@Bassmagnet

Filf, pure filf. Liking all the bass sounds, what you make them on if you don't mind me asking? Cool track some sections get a little tiring though, maybe a few glitchy drops? (of acid)

@Finji

Oh no it's like happy hardcore, go away. I take it the fin in your name represents finland, oh no it dropped, it is happy hardcore. Go away, this a dubstep forum. This might help more: http://www.happyhardcore.com/forums/

Let this be a warning to everyone, I'll let this guy slip, as he doesn't know any better, but for the rest of you, if I here a fucking nother happy hardcore tune, I'm gonna hunt you down and nut you're granny :(

Dubstep forum, how much more obvious do you wanna get? Sorry if this sounds aggressive, but happy hardcore has that effect on me. Sorry.

@Impey

Ahhh, you chilled me out again, thankyou, why does filf calm me down so much?

This is nice liking the bit fucked bass, but think you could automate the amount/bit rate whatever you're bit crusher does, f* with it :) Like the reverbed drop out bit sounds cool all in all, nice proggression, liking the glitched out bits at the end, but would like you to push it to the extreme if you can, get all crazy all over everone,s face, like in that jazzsteppa tune taylor rain I think. Check it if you havent already, around 3mins starts going scatty as fuck but still really groovy.

@Plasticsun, Couldn't get your tune to work sorry will try later.

@J-One, liking the vibe nice and chilled and groovy, really like the use of perc in this the tabla stuff, and the garage-y type drums, proper cool, would like some wierd arse morphing bass, to stream along from time to time, not wobbles, but nice low-mid growls, like the sounds in dnb, where it feels like the bass is eating you! But all in all nice chilled track, two thumbs up!

@Krispy,

Nice transformer sounds, filfy bass, tight and controlled, that's the way i like it, you need no feedback really, you're already self oscillating ;)

Peas peeps :)

@Mouldy Soul; cheers for the feedback man, yeah the synth in buttscratcha is a resampled synth from when i was starting to learn using reason a while ago so it sounds a bit out of place in the mix lol
The synth i used in requiem was NI massive, but i stick 2 oscillators on different octaves and put another one like a 5th or something out (like a power chord on guitar) to give it rasp and then fiddle with the filters, sample & hold, phase mods and voicing and all that, you know the score, wobble away for a while till it sounds good and capture it.

liking your track, the sort of hard synced prodigy type synth at the end is sick, nice bass too man, i think a bit more reverb with some hi boosts on the eq would do it some good tho

respect

hey cheers for the feedback, I should have stuck it in the in progress thread, my bad!

The reason i asked is cause i haven't worked out how to automate the synced lfo in massive and sounds like you've done that, that or set key track or velocity to unsynced lfo rate, but sounds in time, maybe i'm going crazy quantising things in my brain!

I like that last synth as well, massive is the tits! :)

@koosh; got a great track on your hands mate, it's fresh definitely, but one thing is- the snare needs more of a punch!
CollisionCourse wrote:Soundcloud
@collisioncourse; i like this one! it's got that sort of alternative take on older garage, i like how there's not much of a lead synth yet the track still sort of stands on it's own, would sound great on a mix with the right tunes!

@tripwire22; track has got a really good melody and vibe on it and still shines through the bitcrush, personally I'd definitely leave that in, it's also got a pretty structure, nice work :)

@hendrix126 with a bit of work this could come along nicely, think it needs more sub to it though, digging those riddims on that track in your sig as well!

@Modepth

Hey dude, nice track liked the laid back ambient tinkerings over the top, but would like the rate of the wobbles to change at least in one section of the track just to spice things up :) Other than that it's a decent track, maybe some feedback delay filtered madness over the top to add some extra layers and keep interest going but cool all in all :)

@modepth - love the subtle techno stabs in the back of You''re / All they really help keep the pace nicely. could use a bit of a longer break somewhere to add some tension
.
@koosh - the vox set it off in city lights! took a decent track and made it made it a tune with those. could use some more length tis a bit short.

@grime8 - love the intro sounds fuckin huge. mixdown sounds pro. the main saw bass could use some more detuned voices imo.

this one goes quite schizo at the drop. sounds like a funky house track but wait!

Thanks for the feedback guys, going to give my ears a rest and go back to it later.

@Mouldy Sould I agree with you on the highs, but played the track on my mates system last night and i don't think it needs anymore low end, i think it needs less... By low end you were talking about sub right?

@DjPsychonaut Thanks mate, definitely going to work on some variation. Nice work on your tracks. Only thing i'd like to hear is a bigger snare in both tracks. But good job on the wobbles. I like requiem a bit better. Nice work for your first logic. Stick with it logic is the shit!

@X571 Glad you liked it mate, thanks for the feedback :D

Yo conflux, I said as well as low, meaning it already had enough low and needs mad amounts of high as well as low, sorry if it didn't come across well.
