Re Ferric, yeah, once it crashed fl I never used it, and then a long while after avast said it was a virus. I really have nothing more to say than that. :1:

Ferric was pretty heavy on the cpu too, no?

As a fairly standard saturator, yes

Greasetube can serve some beautiful overdrive saturation and warming functions.

There are a few good plugins that you do need, though. This might be one. The way the fucking uad guys talk about the fatso, for christ's sake, I want to hear one...

Thanks guys, lots of good stuff on here, it is surprising, how different different overdrives sound, dont believe me? Take a sine and an oscilloscope and use different ODs on the sine. Some just cut the tops off, some widen the tops, FLs blood overdrive(which I love btw) cuts off the tops kinda diagonally etc.

If I had a nice interface, I would be squeezing the nuts out of this baby:
