Ahhhh it's not to help dubstep it's to help people discover dubstep.

Right this is the last I have to say on it.

I get that it seems I didn't take the criticism well with my comeback of fuck you, but the way I see it, just because some guy on a forum told me it was a bad idea doesn't make it a bad idea.

Other people seem to be linking to websites saying that what I am trying to do has already been done, well I checked those links, and they're all something different. I'm not trying to promote dubstep, but more allow people like me to not get flamed when trying to find out more about it, and ease them into artists they should listen to, to get an idea of what dubstep is, and then for them to make up their own minds as to what is shit and what is not, or even if they like dubstep in the first place.

Another dude said it's stupid since I don't know shit about dubstep or the scene, true, but the way I saw it was it'd give me a motivation to really into the dubstep scene and almost record what I found.

And no I don't want to sell it for millions, or even make money off it, i'd put ads to pay the hosting fees and that's it, it'd be a hobby.

And as for the aint talking weeks guy... thanks man, I know, I didn't expect it to.

Thank you to everyone for their input, I think I have what I need.

Peace.

i'd like a dubstep toolbar. Something with links to all aspects of dubstep culture (music, art, fasion, night life, events, radio, related music like reggae, roots, dub, house, jungle etc) plus usefull internet stuff too. Looks like learning code is in the future.

Personally, I like the idea.

I'm all up for enterprise, or ideas that will help further the scene - if it helps people understand what "dubstep" is, was or could be - then I'm for it.

I think that if it's done right it could prove an excellent resource.

Research and collaboration is key though - if you go about it on your own, be prepared to be wrong about things - genres can be hard to define, people can be hard to persuade, and the evolution of musical styles can be hard to trace accurately.

I'm actually working on something similar myself, so I have somewhere to send people when they say "what is dubstep"?

Good luck to ya.
