But as far as my occasional pokes at fleabay can tell, for £200 you'll be doing pretty well to find something that's real analogue, doesn't sound gash, has keys, has proper knobs etc.

The Mopho Keyboard is a compact, affordable, and powerful monophonic analog synthesizer. The voice architecture is similar to a single voice of Dave Smith Instruments' Prophet '08, but with a couple of twists to distinguish it from its award-winning sibling. Dave Smith Instruments has added two sub-octave generators (one per oscillator) for additional girth and crushing basses. It also has an audio input that lets you process external audio and mix Mopho's own audio output back in pre-filter for feedback effects that can range from subtle distortion to extreme skronk. It features the same semi-weighted keyboard action as Dave Smith Instruments' Prophet.

Has the exchange rate gone shit crazy since I last checked? We're talking about a £200 budget here.

It looks like a great synth, everyone who plays with it says it sounds like a great synth, for the £500ish that is the best price I've seen it's still a steal, it may be worth the OP mowing a lot of lawns and saving up for, but it's not a £200 synth.

I used to have a micron, awesome synth!
Shame about the lack of MIDI capability though, I tried countless times to get it to double as a MIDI controller, but could never get it to work!

yeah to be honest im not looking to drop that much money on anything just yet, as i dont think my production skills are high enough to make that kind of investment worth it. it does look sick though!
