Somalians beat some guy up, he came back after them they beat him to the floor and started bottling him, he got up came back after them again but then the club told him to come inside until an ambulance arrives. The somalians wait around whilst the police and ambulance are their sorting out the guy they just fucked up. The somalians walk off following young girls harassing them. They come back and just walk into the smoking area of the club, a fight kicks off between the bouncers and the somalians, some guy gets stabbed and the manager locks everyone in the club for half an hour.

Was chased by a grizzly bear in alaska.

A guy tried to break into my studio with a knife and ultimately I fended him off with a pistol.

A Mercedes crashed into a BMW in the street next to me while I was walking one night, the Mercedes in a failed attempt to avoid the accident flew onto the curb directly at me, I jump out of the way, and as I was jumping I could see the fading light of the smashed headlights twinkling in the the shards of glass emanating from the accident.

I went to go buy some weed with some friends. One of the guys was a friend of a friend, he just got out of prison or something in AZ and was on parole and was not allowed to travel to California. My buddies went into the house to buy the weed, and like 10 seconds after they went in, all the lights went out. We were like what the fuck. We didn't know these guys with the house. Then a couple of cops came around from behind the house and go up to the front of the house. This excon guy I'm with in the car starts to freak out. Like Jacob's Ladder vibrating freaking out. He starts screaming, "they're not going to take me back, I'm not going back!" The guy was literally bending the steering wheel. I convinced him to drive around the block, I really thought this guy was going to get us shot by the cops. I really don't mind dieing, but for some reason, that is not a way I wanted to die. Turns out the cops were only there for a noise complaint. Jokes.

Speaking of which, some crazy people tried to shoot me in a drive by. I was out in the middle of the night playing ball with my dog. My studio was right next to a freeway on and off ramp. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a car driving backwards off the on ramp. It just struck me as odd, and I turned around, and they started shooting. I ran like hell, and grabbed my wife who was out there with me, and threw her down behind a van in this dirt parking lot behind my studio. The car pulled in front of the parking lot, we were locked in by tall buildings on three sides, and they were blocking our only escape. They just waited there a minute then sped off. Turns out I had almost thrown my lady into a slick of tarry bum poop behind the van. Jokes 2x.

You know what, sorry for over posting, but the craziest thing I've ever experienced was the earthquake in LA in 94. I was just falling asleep when the earthquake hit. I was staring at this cement column and a cross beam on my ceiling, when the angle started to bend back and forth past 90 degrees. The shaking became extremely violent and it was deafeningly loud. Something about being in that sleep state, I really thought all of LA was going to be destroyed the noise was so loud and the shaking so violent. Women were screaming all around me, I could hear them through the walls, and it kept going and going. I literally screamed out to god (like there is a god who listens to mortal wishes) "NO!"

I shouldn't have been so freaked out, but it caught me in just the right mindstate. I was extremely jumpy for 2 weeks after. Like I remember someone slammed a door, and I jumped almost up to the ceiling, I went into a full blown panic. I honestly think I had PTSD.

This one was so crazy because I really thought millions of people were going to die in like the next 10 seconds. I've almost died countless times, but the gravity of mass death really disturbed me.

Saw a kid get hit by a van at about 50mph. He flew up in the air a couple of metres, flipped at least once and smacked the ground.

I've seen some nutty shit in the past. I guess the craziest was when someone pulled a gun on me. The thing is, this wasn't in the city, in a proper tiny village high street outside a kebab shop. What the fuck is the world coming too.

I've seen a ufo and a couple of 'spirits'.

This, the only thing i can think of is sitting next to my grandad as he passed away in hospital. Just the fact that you see someone you know and love just cease to exsist in front of you is a really weird experience.

It's easier then calling everyone guy and getting confused. It's also the only thing I remember about them.

I've seen some pretty fucked up shit in my time a lot of which involved guns. Had a sawn off shotgun aimed at me when i was a kid, saw a guy shoot himself in the knee at a Jungle night in leicester, saw a policeman shoot a guy in the stomach at point blank range in Peru and saw police firing at protesters in Bangkok.
But the thing that really disturbed me the most was a women begging me to buy her baby in Vietnam. I was walking around a market and a lady grabbed me and handed me her baby. I tried to give it back and she said $10, i thought she wanted me to pay for a photo op so i said no. She refused to take the baby back and kept saying ten dollar, ten dollar, ten dollar. Another woman then grabbed me and said that she wanted me to buy the baby.
She was on her knees begging me to buy her baby, fuck knows how you react to such desperation. It may or may not have been some kind of guilt trip scam but it really fucked with my head for a while.
I've seen loads more fucked up shit during my travels. South east asia and south america certainly leave an imprint on your psyche.
