most all of the squat parties i've heard of/been to in london recently have a fiver entrance. free as in freedom, not free as in free beer!!

the names pay for themselves by bringing in more people, not by us charging more at the door. and no one is making money of course, just goes towards the rig and other costs.
no doubt there has been dubstep at squat parties for
time, in our soundsystem dj rivalry for example has been playing his own stuff for ages all around, and i've played a dubstep set at parties before. theres just never been a squat party in london that i've heard of that has billed itself as a dubstep party (sincere apologies if i'm wrong), which i guess is what people, myself included, are hyped about... usually the dubstep is just part of a mixed bag night (which, don't get me wrong, is cool too, and we'll have some sounds besides dubstep to mix things up a bit -- but dubstep is definitely the main feature of the night by far).
