You can fuck off too, its usually a few grand advance for a sample cd but it can take months to put together how is that "cashing in" exactly?
i'd assumed one of the main reasons to release something like this would be to make money, no? and there's no saying that it takes months to put together, depends on the quality of the samples. but if you prove me wrong and the samples are very high quality and obviously took a long time to make then i'd take back what I said.
What the fuck is ppl's problem with producers actually making money? I would doubt that any sample cd ever put out has been done in less than a month regardless of its quality and a few grand for a months work is hardly selling out is it? Jog on ffs
did i ever say I had a problem with someone making money? no!
have you not ever seen a celeb advertising yet another product on tv and thought, oh, someone needs more money again? it's just a saying i use man, no need for all this abuse ahahah. i never yelled "sell out", or any shit like that, just said that he's probs doing it for the money. i never said i had a problem with that fact. i'm not the one who called him an idiot.
i said i'd like to hear them, implying i wasn't completely hating on him, so back off
You don't know fuck all about the effort that goes into making a sample cd so stop chatting shit, why bother making a snide remark about money if your not bothered about it? Need some more positive replies on this fucking forum its all negative whining on here these days and its infectious so im off b4 you muppets waste any more of my time lol

so we can have 1,000 kids using it and trying to put out rip offs of Distance tunes?
no thanks.
You need more than a sample pack to rip off someone's style.
very good point.

so now this just means, a bunch of kids are gonna be ripping off Distance tunes and they're gonna sound like shit.

dope.

It's a sample CD so people would have used the samples anyway if they could find them. You could probably produce house using only these samples.
But you're allowed to dislike producers who use samples.

the same people bitching about the stagnation and copycats in the scene and what not are the same ones who don't seem to venture past listening to the same artists that came along back when

sample packs don't engage people into making shitty rip-offs, people will do that anyway.

And it's not like any of this will put Distance's career or your enjoyment of his music at risk. A bunch of kids making a copycat tune for themselves isn't likely to destroy the scene.

I'd rather over 9000 newfags use this sample pack rather than copying the brostep wobble thats being blasted all over gay YouTube channels any day.

Big look for Distance.

Whoa. Lots of hate in this here thread........

Just in case anyone mistook my comment above as a criticism I would like to clarify that it isnt. I meant "bad" as a positive thing. Kind of like the Michael Jackson "bad".

Fuck it. Big up Distance, gonna scoop this up when I get home. I reckon the drums on thier own will be worth £30.

@Rob - Rise above it big fella!! :)

Yeh and the first tune you made was totally your own style and didn't sound like anything else in the world.

So distance releases a sample pack which can only improve production and people complain?

Some people on this forum are a fucking joke. Big up distance!
