NEW DNB FORUM
Re: Love real drum n bass?
So much good drum & bass out there now if you dig correctly. I do nights that feature dubstep and drum & bass, and heads in Cincinnati honestly react to the drum & bass more than they do dubstep. Its like pulling teeth trying to get heads to feel some good deep dubstep around these parts, where as we can toss on an average dj that's playing drum & bass and the place will still be hype. I've been working at changing the tide for years now and its slow to happen.

how about Lenzman, Random Movement, Calibre, Alix Perez, Spectrasoul for great musical stuff
Spor, Apex, Noisia, Break, Chris.Su???
Seems like the number of badman dnb producers is way smaller than dubstep tho..
Also liking the tunes Eveson is putting out too.

Re: Love real drum n bass?
Saw a thread on DnB forum the other day which was amusing - people referring to the increasingly "formulaic" side of dubstep and writing off dubstep as a whole, sometimes even calling it unintelligent. Same thing here with some folks, though not as many as on DnB forum. Bad DnB gets taken as the standard and a whole genre written off wholesale on its basis.
It's all about getting your scanner on and searching, 'cause DnB's still churning out great music as evidenced by the suggestions in this thread and beyond. Personally though, dubstep resonates with me way more than DnB does. More interesting rythmically imo, and a nicer pace.

I'd be sweet if everyone who agrees that drum n bass is still alive and kicking, maybe in different ways than the past, would join and share their favourite tunes/ mixes, or tracks they've made!

For each genre there are boards for;
Production - (users can share production tips/ techniques for the specific genre)
User Tracks - (Users can embed links to their tracks for feedback and creative criticism)
Mixes - (Users can share mixes they've made, or established Djs for the specific genre)
Tunes - (Here members can chat about their favourite tunes of the genre)
