Re: Outlook Festival Tickets 2011?
I'd shell a few extra bob to make sure the security weren't bent and letting locals in.
There were way many people in there on Sunday night than Thursday.

Maybe sort out a bigger boat for the deep medi boat party too! haha The one in-one out thing was ridiculous and I needed a piss sooooooo bad by the end of it but i refused to go downstairs and get stuck.

I think the things that need sorting first are the smaller issues such as the dust in arena one (maybe cover the floor in sand?) and the queues into both the two main arenas and the upper decks of the boats before considering bumping up ticket prices and increasing capacity. The festival is still relatively young, so is at risk of taking steps which are beyond its years. If ticket prices rise much further that £100 then other costs can quickly push overall spending to amounts way beyond those of a UK festival: if the festival is to remain in Croatia (which it should, in my opinion) then the ticket price has to stay low.

If the prices get higher the festival will be killed off.
The only people who could afford to get there are toffs living off mummy and daddy getting "messy" to the "dirty bass"

Tbh, i've been worrying myself about missing out on the last two fests...
I just think the vibe/intamacy of the festival is peaking, like each year it has to be bigger/better etc.
and just the whole popularity thing.. Yeah it's a positive thing that it's getting noticed more, but that's bound to have a knock on effect..
Like, if I went to a local Dubstep night in Notts circa 08-09 and mentioned Outlook to the 'tagalongs' most would look at me gone out (which would be a good thing, less waste heads, more real heads, better vibe, no beef) now say I went to one tomorrow and mentioned it.. it'd be "OMGZZ OUTLOOKZ IZ GUNNA BE HXC YEH SAAFEEZ.. BTW CAN YA GER ANEY PILLZ?, AH LOST MA MKAT TRYNA SNORT ET OFF'A TOILET SEAT AN NAR AM COMIN DOWN AN AH WANNA GO MOSH TO SUM DOCTOR P'Z"
Lowe having to deal with people like that.. I'm gonna go regardless because i've been wanting to for yonks, i'm just pran that it's gonna be chocked full of complete tools judging by the folk/attitude this genre's attracting.

2 things
Dust! - somthing shud be done about that nxt year i recon, im still coughing now, made lot of people ill.
Put bins around the campsite! there wasn't any at all which is why it was left in a state.
Can't really think of anything else to make it better lol was so good, apart from the que to get into DMZ was a bit of a pisstake

Re: Outlook Festival Tickets 2011?
Why do I get the feeling I seriously fucked up by not going this year.
Re: Outlook Festival Tickets 2011?
That was my 3rd Outlook and it was definitely the best overall. I think a slight increase in capacity could be handled provided there were 1-2 more arenas opened up. If there is, like Salford suggested, another arena that could hold 2000 people then it would probably be ok provided it wasn't too far from the fort itself as it would be a nightmare running from one place to the other.
As much as I hate clashes and having to decide who to go see, I'd also suggest planning in more clashes so that any given arena was less likely to be filled to overcapacity. So for example putting on Skream and DMZ at the same time. The Outdoor stage was not horribly busy most times I wandered by and could probably be better utilised. The Ballroom is just a disaster waiting to happen.
Boatwise, because these are paid for in addition to the festival ticket, they need to not be oversold and everyone who bought a ticket needs to be able to get to the deck area. The boats were larger this year but the deck capacity was probably actually smaller because of the layout for the boat. Having the decks behind the stairs just doesn't work. I'm surprised no one fell down the stairs. Also, with the 2 narrow lanes leading to the DJ booth the close intimacy of the previous boats was simply not there.

Hate to rub it in, but you missed quite possibly the best Dubstep festival EVER.wilson wrote:Why do I get the feeling I seriously fucked up by not going this year.

Yeah, the aftermath thread made me aware of that. Just got a bad feeling that the years to come won't quite match up to 2010.Cid Poitier wrote:Hate to rub it in, but you missed quite possibly the best Dubstep festival EVER.wilson wrote:Why do I get the feeling I seriously fucked up by not going this year.

Re: Outlook Festival Tickets 2011?
I don't mind a increase in ticket price at all, the vibe was good, and had a wicked time catch jokes, and just not giving a dam about getting a slap on the wrist or moody faces I have to encounter in the UK at events whilst filming or photographing. Even if the dust issue isn't sorted for next year, BANNERWORX has the quad rental place in Pula on lock, and the fresh HATCHATV masks will be ready for the reunion party lol

Re: Outlook Festival Tickets 2011?
Probably a bit unrealistic to say "it was amazing, i had a wicked time and made all my mates jealous when i got back so they all wanna go next year... but please don't increase the capacity".
The organizers will do their best to smooth out some of the minor issues experienced this year (dust etc.), but there's plenty of potential to expand without making things too hectic. Bear in mind this was the first year in that location and a lot of lessons were learnt.
The biggest success in my eyes was the fact that the locals loved us and want us back, so they'll want to do what they can to help it expand while still allowing it to run well and have an intimate vibe.
Someone mentioned toffs earlier in the thread - swear I've never seen so many middle class kids who say 'fam' all in one place

i dont think it should be about making money, tickets are more expensive than last year, maybe to cover costs etc but i dont think it should be about making profit.

anyone know the dif between these and regular tickets?? or is it just advanced tickets?
n last year sold out i take it?
did anyone camp last year, am thinking about camping this time around?

And your idea about covering costs is nonsense! So you're suggesting that the guys who work on the plannning for a whole year should work for free or minimum wage??
