So after 1000000 litres of water filtered, where does all the shite go?hackman wrote:it's a water filter, better than a brita filter cos you don't need to replace filters
the clay system naturally filters out all the shite in the water
plus it gives it a nice taste as well
Because our culture is over-exposed to bullshit rumors about how bad drinking water is for us.lloydnoise wrote:I think I asked this in another thread.. Why do Americans seem to only drink bottled water? It's like tap water over there seems damned or something. We got flouride too y'know...
Sao Paulo tap water had me shitting fire for a weekDRTY wrote:Where in Brazil? I drank it in Rio Grand De Norte and was OKpkay wrote:i bring a britta filter when im out of country.
Bad experiences in Guam and Brazil from drinking tap water. Thought I was going to die both times.

not sure what you mean, Brita filters dont cost £1000 each, theyre about £17 for 3, which if you ask me is very expensive. I meant your clay thing sounds intriguing because it might do the same job for better value.hackman wrote:now THAT is consumerismDRTY wrote:sounds intriguing. Brita filters cost like a grand each.
judging from the sarcasm(?)
oh right, i thought when you said they cost a grand each you were implying that they were cheap, so why botherDRTY wrote:not sure what you mean, Brita filters dont cost £1000 each, theyre about £17 for 3, which if you ask me is very expensive. my parents are on a major 'impurity' kick these past few years and had a 'reverse osmosis filtration system' installed at their home.

the underside of their sink looks like a nuclear reactor of sorts
Well..around here we have really hard (chalky) water....So people filter to soften it.NilsFG wrote:I don't see why you should filter your tap water at home though, unless you live 100 miles away from the water supply.
We have a filter for that too, but just to protect the washing machine etc. Chalk doesn't bother me in drinking water.herbalicious wrote:Well..around here we have really hard (chalky) water....So people filter to soften it.NilsFG wrote:I don't see why you should filter your tap water at home though, unless you live 100 miles away from the water supply.
At least for the US, our country is relatively massive. How water is filtrated differs from city to city, county to country, state to state. The water in Dallas tastes insanely different than the water in Austin. I grew up on Dallas water, i can tolerate it. Austin tap water makes me want to vomit.NilsFG wrote:I don't see why you should filter your tap water at home though, unless you live 100 miles away from the water supply.
Nobody in my town drinks the tap water, it makes people sick. Not like, dying sick. But definitely poopy/pukeyDRTY wrote:Whenever I've been away anywhere people always tell me I shouldn't drink the tap water. Is that actually true?
Surely if a country has tap water, then the water that comes through it must have been treated? And surely the people that live in these countries drink their own tap water.![]()
Sorry for random boring thread, but I need answers.
