For the love of god no, I'm on a course at the moment that is me, one jazz saxophonist and 15 million HOW DUZ I MAEK WURBLEZ retards. And I just heard the saxophonist is leaving.
Had the same experience... Only in my case, it was a saxophonist and a crap load of idiotic metal heads all screaming about how metallica are the best band of all time... and the saxophonist was a prick
yeah i would disagree with meeting people in courses as well.
in my area 95% of the people in the music courses were "yo i wanna make sum beatz with reazonz 50 yadaddafeelme"
it's still got to be one of the best places to meet like minded people, even if most of them are pricks. if you meet 1 person who you get along with, then it's got to be worth it.

:t:

Half Ton studios in Milton run courses which, fair enough attract some "i wunna make sik beats bruv" crowed, but the guys that run it are some of the nicest, humble people I've ever met... plus it's free. Could be worth looking into and if you mention me, I'm sure they'd be all too happy to give you a place
