Meh, learn on the job and get paid, that way it is like doing a modern apprenticeship.

It's funny how everyone is so hesitant (even to the point of being mean) to use free promotion. I mean why be a dick about it, all they are doing is offering to help out up and comers. Seems like an awesome idea to me. Not saying anything will come from it, but is it going to negatively affect anyone? No, all publicity is good publicity.

Come on people.

probably because like with labels and djs etc it's best to be selective and ebb on cautiousness when sending your tunes to complete strangers

this thread is ridiculously fucking stupid

anyone with the mindset you described ("think one is better than 80% of what one hears on most mixes") is clueless. great artists have a certain level of humility and modesty... Distance doesn't walk around thinking "I AM THE BEST MOTHERFUCKING PRODUCER OUT THERE" (well, as far as I know  ). Mala doesn't sit down, make music, and think "ALL OTHERS ARE FUCKING AMATEURS". etc, etc

if you lack a decent amount of modesty, i'm fairly certain you'll probably never "make it" anyways

uhh, i think you and all the other negative stnuc in this thread are missing the point entirely. Its not about false arrogance, its about having confidence in your tunes and being picky in what you like you dumb twat. Most big name djs are picky and going through crates at a record shop they will find only a few they like out of tons of garbage tunes. Thats what "taste" is.
If you dont want to send your tune in to him then heres an AMazingly complex idea: dont send your tunes in

i don't really see what's negative in this thread (well besides phigure), most people with common sense want to know what services someone is offering and what the catch is especially when sending their work about (ie: if this is a marketing service/hype whatever you want to call it, a clear mission statement and more than a link to a blog would go further than a couple posts with txt speak and a couple claims made)

Agreed.

If I get good critiques, I look at what I did right and try and reproduce it.
And with the bad critiques, it gives me a chance to improve, figure out whats wrong and fix it / improve it.

Oh, but don't pour any water on me... I turn into this...

You know you're good because everybody tells you ur amazing (not including your mum unless your mum is an old skool DJ or raver or suttin).

You have a stockpile of tracks on ur harddrive in a folder named 'Tracks they aint ready for'

Basically if you think ur a badman DJ/Producer or something and you want to get in the industry...

HOLLA!!

If we agree with you...

We will help you....

Hate to point out that Zombie on this forum acted like "I AM THE BEST MOTHERFUCKING PRODUCER OUT THERE" I can't find the particular thread but he was a total cock and was getting slated by people like Ben UFO for his disgusting attitude towards his fanbase. He was promoting a new release. One guy bought it and a few days later he kindly asked when he'd get it, Zombie flipped and refunded him/told him to fuck off publicly. As a result he was banned from the forum amongst other bitchy comments from him. What a tnuc.

Hate to point out that it's Zomby, not Zombie.

Thank you to all those who saw this thread as the opportunity it is and sent me their links.

I will be listening to everything i've been sent over the course of the weekend. will give feedback and any that stand out will get passed onto the rest of the team to listen to.

I didn't put a link to the blog in the post because i thought that showed up in my signature, but just in case it's not showing then here it is http://rubadubstep.blogspot.com - This blog will be moving to a new format in the near future.

Our facebook page has nearly 3000 friends and is growing daily, a link on our FB page will up your view rate and raise your visibility. facebook and twitter is where most people get in touch with us and we listen to everything posted on our wall as well as anything sent to us via email etc. Those we rate we put on the blog or we repost/send out in direct mailshots etc

My only interest in your music is to help you get it out there, or to collaborate with you. It's not in my interests to do anything else with your music...if your music is already on your soundcloud jut send me a link to it and we'll take it from there.

We have already offered many of you the opportunity to remix a track by an incredible singer songwriter Tiffani Vinyard. If that track does what is expected then there will be alot of exposure for the winner as there are already enquiries for live perfomances of the remix and nobody's heard the entries yet.

It's all well and good to sit on your music and even if you have a certain level of modesty it doesn't hurt to take a punt and send a link.

Also the other side of the coin i'm obviously looking for talented producers for collab work...we have a number of vocalists ready to vocal tracks....it's not to say we will vocalise every track that we recieve but we will definitely work with the producers on original material.

It really is up to you, i didn't have to make this thread, i've done this to present an opportunity to many of you

If you have any questions or want to know more email rubadubstepblog@gmail.com
Calling all Dj's/Producers/Emcees/Artists -
If you want exposure - Get in Touch.
If you want them vocals on your tracks - Get in Touch.
