Before dubstep my main squeezes were IDM/experimental electronic stuff, some electronic pop, and DnB/jungle. I was (and still am) really into Afx, Four Tet, Hot Chip, anything on Warp really, Junior Boys... and loads of post-rock like Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Explosions in the Sky, Sigur Ros, Russian Circles, &c.

I still love that stuff, but Dubstep got me into DJing as well so it takes up a lot of my time. Such a demanding mistress, even my girlfriend gets jealous
This just in: slow & heavy dubstep. A work-in-progress, so if you can, please provide feedback. Listen up!

Alot of things, sticking to one genre is boring.

Acid
Tekno
Early Hardcore
Industrial Hardcore
(Gameboy)Breakcore
Frenchcore
DnB
Oldschool hiphop since the new hiphop is just plain bullshit compared to the oldschool.

and with hardcore i don't mean the punk etc stuff, but the other hardcore.
