I'd also like the say, even if we had a beginners area, the same what... 30 people post in production anyways and the odd person steps in when necessary...I don't see the point in it, we gota VERY good production bible and (some what) friendly community... Stop trying to make something bigger than it has to be.

beginners forum would be nice. and then have a bot that automatically answers every opened thread there with links to the production bible and locks the thread

also i wouldnt want a widget, fuck no. if it's only on the frontpage, well i don't have that opened for longer than a few seconds anyway. and if it's on every page i'd go crazy because i'd have houndreds of tunes playing (tabbed browsing etc). the same with refreshing a page.

I don't think it would, because none of them would respond to one another. They'd hang out for like 30 mins to see if they got a reply, then they'd head over here and do the same thing. This would just create twice the problem.

How about a reputation thingy like they have on IDMforums. For those who don't know, here's how it works : you post something that's useful to someone, they give you a reputation point, the amount of these points is displayed below the number of posts.
It's probably not the only reason but there is a much better shit/quality posts ratio over there and it seems to be encouraging people to help each other and create useful thread.

I used to a frequent a forum that made a lot of use of reputation points. It has a lot of potential to ruin a forum with ego, IMO. Eventually anything said by someone with 1000+ points is undisputed gospel and there's no room for dissenting opinion.
