Who said it was a crime? I just said that's what he's doing. How do you know that's what he thought?
If he likes this stuff, why didn't he play it before?
You are speculating that he is doing it for the wrong reasons the same way i am speculating he is doing it for decent reasons. But I think you are basing a opinion on the guy cos he made loads of shit music before, which is a bit harsh imo. I am giving him the benefit of the doubt that he just wanted a change and chose some far better music, cos he made some awful stuff doesnt mean he is just is always following the money. Funtcase has a deep alias and that stuff is supposed to be pretty good, he doesnt play it necessarily but filth producers are allowed to be into deep shit too.

(i dont really believe that kind of stuff is going out of fashion btw)
If we somehow find out that he is just jumping on the next bandwagon then fair enough you were right, but i think your just judging hes a bit of a dick based on his previous music.
It's not like a massive character change. He's just playing different music. It's the same person who decided to remix bonkers.
It just doesn't feel genuine.

So if you changed your style, and happened to start making money off of it........you'd then switch back to not look like a money grabber?

we're not talking about me so what I would do is utterly irrelvant.
The person we are talking about however has changed from a 'techno/house fuckknows what' ministry/ibiza resident, to a wobbleking and now to a funkydon. as you said tho I'm sure he's just 'happened' to making money by doing these and it wasnt planned......... much.
I guess it comes down to whether you want dj's to be playing for the love of it or because its a career and they need to keep adapting to market conditions to survive. I have no issues with people making money but trying to pretend that people like this are doing for the music is just naive.

its faster moving musically but in terms of money, he would probably still get far more playing jump up than this. And tbh i dont really care what his reasons are, the fact is that the music is far better than the other stuff, so his motives are irrelevant to the sounds hes representing. producers i respect are earning from it and getting exposure so whats the problem? And how do you know that he didnt come to the same conclusions about jump up that a lot of us came to a couple of years ago? peoples tastes change, i know mine did, i definitely used to be all about the jump up but i just grew out of it probably before he had already got into it properly. And theres no need to assume the worst of a guy just because of his notoriety as a producer of different kinds of music.

So you actually think Doorly prefers listening to wobblezzz rather the stuff in his essential mix?? Maybe he has seen where the industry is going and maybe it is a calculated change, however.......you cant make assumptions about somebody you probably have never met. Would you prefer him to be making the same amount of money playing wobbles or this newer sound? As i expect his fee has not changed.
Im not trying to stick up for the dude, and i dont know his motives, but if there are less wobbles in the world is this not a good thing??
