ugh 909 open hat can fuck off sounds like it belongs in ropey euro trance tracks.

id prefer a real open hat, or if i want an artificial sounding one then ill bust a synth out!

The 909 cymbals are actually samples, recorded (badly) and played off a ROM. I would REALLY like to find out what became of the actual hihats and ride used on the 909 chip. Wonder what they were, and where they've ended up. Probably in some Roland storage facility somewhere...
