I like the idea and am glad to hear that there are people finding the service useful.

Yes there is a wealth of information available for free, but paying for info and support cuts to the chase quickly. The benefit is that fast progress can be made, as more time can be spent producing rather than researching.

Some people here are also calling for personal credentials. Why?

Some people are good at teaching and have good knowledge even if they aren't 'famous/successful' themselves. The obvious example is quality sports coaches who don't actually play the sport themselves, but coach champions.

If Macc was offering the same service, no one would be as rude as the people have been here.

Fair play to Kim, offering a beneficial service at a price which is likely calculated fair based on the effort put into the venture.

If I had extra cash I would certainly pay for a life coach.

Two minds are greater than one. By working with a coach, twice the knowledge and problem solving can be applied to generate results.

When the goal is for self improvement and success, coaching is a proven tool that gives results. This is certainly true of my trampolining instructors who have helped me learn routines for beyond the technical capability of 'amatuer' trampolining enthusiasts.

this is ridiculous, i think most serious producers around here have got atleast 1 person that has alot more credits and alot more faith in that person's style that gives us FREE opinions.

Consultancy and coaching are both valuable and profitable.

Large companies hire consultants regularly to audit all kinds of things, and often find the results useful for directing improvements.

It's true my mum could give an opinion which is equally as valid as a professionals opinion. But professionals have no vested interests beyond earning a living, the good ones relying on repeat custom for ongoing success.

The concern seems to be that Kim is a cowboy. Fair enough. Don't take risks. Waste time reinventing the wheel. Live you're life as you choose and enjoy yourself.

Many individuals and organisations see the value of paid for advice, and reap the benefits of that.

Yet for quick results it is a valid and useful option to have professional help. It cuts down research time, provides insight on developing bespoke solutions and avoids the disillusionment that some members of DSF feel when their works in progress and finished tracks get no feedback.
