Well i sure do have a lot of work improving my production skills, but i'll post a song here anyway, just for the (constructive, if you wouldn't mind (it must be tempting)) criticism.

@RmoniK: You have a very noticeable volume swell when you filter sweep your bassline. I'd also consider reworking that synth line a bit. It feels a little out of place in comparison to the rest of the song. Also, I'd look into changing up that bassline a bit. It isn't necessary to add more elements, but it couldn't hurt. At the end, around 3:00, it feels like there's something big coming, but there isn't any variation of the bassline (that I've come to expect, is all). An example of what I mean can be heard in Akira Kiteshi's Pinball, at 0:32 . It's the same bassline, but there's a feeling of more to it. A similar thing occurs at 2:14. See below:

And Kromestar, at 1:45 and 2:40 and 3:35.

Am I saying that you have to be like Akira Kiteshi or Kromestar? Nah. I do think that your song could use a little changing up here and there, though. Just enough to keep it progressing and captivating.

@Magoula - niice intro, like the rides pushing it. Fucking heavy drop.. pretty original sounding man, havent heard something like this in a while. The amen works well too! very nice man.

@Sinisterbeats - Very experimental sounding, the plucked sounding intrument is nice but it seems to be almost over powering everything else a little bit. The bass is nice and deep! Like it a lot.

@Rmonik - Heavy drums! I like the faded in cymbal before each snare, adds pump to the snare. The drop was a little underwhelming, it could use a little less before the drop or a little more layering so that theres a contrast of sounds. Keep at it man.

Soundcloud

This isnt dubstep at all, but it was inspired by Four Tet/Amon Tobin/FlyLo etc.. so I guess some of you guys may appreciate it.. most of the samples are me and my girlfriend singing etc.

Have a listen, would love some feedback.

Thanks for the comments you guys!

@kikaruu, yeah, it's because it's a bp filther over a LP. I should rework that bit. That synth isn't entirely like i planned it either, but i was tired after working on that wobble bass line. And yeah, i was trying to vary in the bassline (which can be heard the second time it plays, with the little high bit and the lfo rate going up), but it could 've been better.

@jstick, thanks, liked that myself :D I'll keep that in mind !

Thanks for the tips you guys !

@legend4ry: Dude... you couldn't wait until you arrived home before you posted, too? :X

That said, I like the beginning. It's very calm, and you don't have that annoyingly long bass kick like quite a few others. Nice, strong bass. I like your use of ascension; it's something I've been playing around with lately. And at 1:34, you've got me rocking in the middle of class. :D Nice work, mate. Then, introduction of more elements... Too swell. Too swell.

Now hurry up and get home to post feedback! :I

Don't really have anything to post, but I'll comment on some that I have listened to.

@Debaser - Nice intro. I like the feel of the song and the subtle bassline. I also really like the strings.

@therook - Nice relaxing song. The second piano part is amazing.

@johnst - Like the jazzy bass a lot. Pretty insane when the distortion kicks in. Cool style.

@maxtone - Probably my favorite. Nice guitar riff and nice bass. Very well done.

@Chewie - Like the drums a lot. Feels like the drops could hit a little harder imho, but still a really good track.

Rmonik - Nice drums - work on a progression :).

J Stick - Love this vibe, nice percussion good use of space too, no qualms. Would have to listen to it on a better system for bass.

Legend4ry - Smooth, love the timbre of the perc, pads are lush and lead line works well, can't comment on a bassline as im not at my set-up, listening on crappy speakers. No qualms, does the job. Get some nice vox lines on there and maybe change the progression slightly?

g Davies - Nice drums, vocal edits could be placed better imo, round them off a little. Nice soundscape.

New tune - Feedback appreciated!

@ pete miles: big punchy drum beats! the abrassive synth is heavy and i love how it sounds and plays with the lower one. big big tune here! after the drop it begans more devil and it flows really good! do you want to pass me for download? P.M.
@ rhek - really big quality of synths i like it a lot maybe drums sound without enought reverb but good work on it too.
@ - chilled athmo i like it the delayed apregies sounds good harmonies and the percusion is quite good!

Here i pass you this wooble/quitefilthy dubstep tune.

Well, its nice to come back home to some feedback :) and since I am regular on the forum and often contribute to these threads without asking for feedback on a track myself, I thought i'd be cheeky :O.

@JayZest - great intro the percs sound great! I really like the kick too, sounds so organic and tight - the floaty arps and melody works really well.. I would love something more.. how could you say this .. Solid in there? Maybe just a string following the sub or something - it sounds great on headphones but I can't help but thinking on the dancefloor this tune would be to spacious! Saying that, everything sounds great and the panning work on everything is beautiful - a great mix down and perfectly structured. Just can't help but think there needs to be something more prominent in there!

@Rhek - I like the pad in the intro, the little trance stab is a little cheesy I would try and go for something less "techno, techno, techno, techno" hehe.. I like the drop but I feel the drums could do with some more space and better sounds - they sound awfully flat I also feel like it needs more shuffley hats driving the track instead of the midrange in the driving seat.. I also feel the midrange needs more space - its a bit to in you face and the sound itself without sounding rude is a bit lifeless it needs something more... from 1:51 you're doing what I wanted from the track in the first drop, more of that please!

hope this helps... I would listen to some Seven and listen to how he uses his percussion to drive the track as well as his bass lines, how they compliment each other.

@GDavies - The hats have to much midend in them, I can see them translating badly on a system. the pluck is a bit to high as well. I like the sounds though! The drop is great, from around 1:24 the tune is begging for some more space or a faster b-line though, it isn't "quite" gelling together. From 2:18 the tune gets to busy and glitchy for my tastes and loses focus.. I would go back to it and try and get some initial groove then working on the glitches, making them more thought out - Its got some nice foundations I just think theres to many ideas at once going on.

Hope this helps.

some feeback for folks....

@sinisterbeats..... nice different track, like your strings, i like your second breakdown! I think the first one still needs a bit more work., and i think theres room for a wee bit more low end in your track. had a listen to your voices and theme beat as well that was dope! nice drums and basslines.....maybe too much bass this time! i like it.

@jayzest......lovely track, enjoyed the fullness and warmth of the bass, sounded great on my genelecs! i like that its not too busy, i think its ready to go mate.....nice one!

@thebender- yeah man liking the baltimore/hiphop/dubstep vibes with this...its a fun track and def banging!

@gdavies- liked this track, diff than the usual. liked the last one the most. quite funky, yet dark. cool drums going on.

@kikaruu....this is one dirty track! liking the bounce and the heavyness.....seems to be a lot of phasing/flange going on for my liking....liked the litle vocal snippets, i think your track is maybe a touch too long, you could possibly shorten it.

@debasser, cheers mate....yeah ive just moved to BC,canada from Scotland for 6 months and the trees are green, heavy and sweet! if you get me!....think thats what inspiring some stuff lately! :D

Anyway another new tune..... not really dubstep...a wee bit perhaps, anyway.......would love some feedback!

is that a... no... but it sounds like...

A DIDGERIDOO?! FUCK YEAH! :5: but seriously i liked that sound a lot. really solid tune all around as well, there's a lot going on which keeps it very interesting, but everything sticks out as well. also, the drums are really nice, they work to keep it interesting and shuffling. seriously enjoyed it man, it's just in my range of chilled but grooving.
